I am not having a wedding party and I couldn't be happier about it! Well we will be having a flower girl and ring bearer if that counts...but anyway we are having such a small intimate wedding with only our closest friends and family. when my FI and I initially discussed this his comment on the whole wedding party thing was "well what is the difference if our friends are standing up or sitting down?" which was a good point!

As a side note though both myself and my FI are both only children so we don't have ANY siblings...I might feel different if we did have siblings.

I say it is your wedding and your day...if you do not want a wedding party then don't have one! do what will make you guys happiest!

We didn't have any attendants. Partly because our best friends couldn't make it, and we didn't want to have substitutes and then feel like we had to include everyone. And like Andi said, everyone could see better sitting than standing anyway!

We're not having a wedding party. That's part of the reason we decided to do a destination wedding, to avoid the stress of a wedding party. I have 1 brother and FI has 1 sister, so we are going to ask them to be our witnesses. Do whatever you makes you happy, it's your wedding!

We're not having a wedding party. Between the two of us we have three brothers and no sisters, so there was no automatic family choice there. Also we didn't want to ask friends to spend extra $$ on top of what we're already asking them to spend. We're having our siblings do readings during the ceremony, my niece is a flower girl and I may ask my SILs to help out too.

None for us, either. It just didn't seem to suit us. Besides... My 5 BFFs are there, plus my sis, sis-in-law (bro's wife), FI's two sisters...

I mean, really, how would I pick? Because it would have been my 5BFFs, but then how would my sister feel, etc., etc., etc....

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
