Well I am trying to do something similar in regards to the post card idea...except I would really like to include those who could not make the DW wedding due to finaces or other reasons out of their control.

I have not yet fully figured out how I will do it...but I want to take a post card and send it blank to family and friends who could not make it as well as have one for each guest who does come and have them put a message on it then I am going to get my SIL to put it all together for me (as I am not talented that way).

There are still some glitches in that idea but if anyone has a better way for me to do that then please let me know.

Love the photobooth idea as well...do you use a Polaroid camera?

I bought the book from Invitations by Dawn and I designed the Wedding Wishes card on vista print.
This is wonderful! I just love it. I have to say that there are just so many different ways to do so many parts of weddings now that the ideas are unlimiting!

We're getting married in Tulum, so we're going to get a book on Tulum, kind of like a coffee table book. Then we're going to have guests sign that book... like a yearbook, on the inside cover or any random page. I think it'll be a great coffee table book that will always remind us of our wedding!
Never thought of this idea before...but WOW that is really great and something that is more useful then just a book with signatures and messages in it!

Your guests will love it!

I LOVE THIS!! This is definetly one I am going to consider for the wedding.

We are going to do a quilt for our AHR book. Everyone will write something on a quilt sqaure and then my FMIL is going to sew them together. Here is an example I found:

I think we will do the dry erase board, thanks for sharing Amy! Great idea and I think guest will have so much fun doing it.

When I get home I will make a photobook/guestbook. Every guest will get their own page with nice pictures from them and their "comment picture ".

I think that will look so great.

Does anyone know if I can buy these boards online?

At my friends wedding she did this adorable idea......

She had a friend greet every guest at the main door and took a photo of them, behind this cute background. Then the guest wrote a small blurb in this book (looked like a photoalbum). After the wedding, she glued the photo next to the blurb. It was a very cute idea and she was able to actually have a photo of every guest that I attended.

she got dry erase boards and had a teenage family member run this - the guests were given directions to write a message to amy & hans using 5 words or less on the dry erase board and take a photo. i saw her photos and some of them are totally hilarious, while others are really sweet and sentimental. i am doing this also for my wedding in 3 weeks so i will let you know how it turns out and will post pics right away when i get back. if you want to check it out in the meantime, check amyh's planning thread (called amyh's planning galore, use the search to find it) i will post the directions when i get back but i gotta go run out for an errand right now.
Hands down the best guestbook idea I've seen yet! I am totally stealing this idea!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
