We got a mat and we had a very drunk groomsman write something on ours that totally pissed me off and almost ruined my night. So beware of the drunks in mexico that has already been drinking all day to get a wise idea to call the groom a dumb ass for getting married on OUR MAT!!

Good idea!! Mine is still in the closet - unused.
Someone did see how upset it made me and added, I love you, you "dumb ass". So it made it a little better...but still.

Can you draw over it? I had a friend that used a sharpie to color in a heart over a nasty comment.

We are making a guestbook on Blurb.com using lots of pictures of us from when we are dating. I am also adding some quotes on some of the pages from our favorite songs and some poems. Then some of the pages have lines on them for the guests to write on.

I saw a cool idea for an alternative guestbook the other day, definetly a DIY project.

Instead of having everyone sign their name, or having a wish jar and then have to put all those notes in an album, you get a sheet printed with questions on it for your guests to fill out. Some of the templates I've seen have a spot where you can either get a photo of the guests or you can have them draw a pic in the space.

You could ask questions like "how many kids do you think they'll have" or "where will they be living in 10 years" or just ask for advice.

I have a pic at work I'll try to upload tomorrow and the site that can do them up for you if you don't want to print it yourself.

This link is kinda on the same lines (not the original site for my inspiration):

I want one of those plates-where can i find one? i tried target-no luck. Thanks :)
I got mine from Target online - I don't know if they have them in the stores or not. But search for Palm Tree Plate or something like that - it should come up and then you can find similar things.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
