I got a bright colored pail and serving tray from Old Tyme Pottery and then unlined 3X5 index cards and colored Sharpies. Guests wrote messages on the cards and left them in the pail. We got some great sayings and advice and I'm going to make it into a scrapbook with pics from our DW and AHR.

Instead of having everyone sign their name, or having a wish jar and then have to put all those notes in an album, you get a sheet printed with questions on it for your guests to fill out. Some of the templates I've seen have a spot where you can either get a photo of the guests or you can have them draw a pic in the space.

You could ask questions like "how many kids do you think they'll have" or "where will they be living in 10 years" or just ask for advice.

I have a pic at work I'll try to upload tomorrow and the site that can do them up for you if you don't want to print it yourself.

This link is kinda on the same lines (not the original site for my inspiration):

I am making a scrapbook guest book to take to Jamaica. Every person/couple gets their own page with their picture (I will put a picture of them from the wedding once we get home) a spot for their wish for us and their favorite part of the wedding, which will be added after the wedding of course at a group dinner before everyone leaves. We only have 23 guests coming so I was able to really personalize everyones page, I love it!

I wanted to do the mat where guests can sign but I know how some people can get after a few drinks (as someone else mentioned here) and ruin the whole thing....so lately I've been thinking of doing something like this from Martha Stewart. It comes with 108 small note cards and guests write what they like and tuck it inside the envelopes that come attached to the pages.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
