Wedding at Grand Pineapple Beach Resort, Negril

Recommended Posts

My mom is getting married in January at the Grand Pineapple in Negril and I'm helping her plan.

I got married last January in Playa del Carmen, although I didn't know about this forum until about 2 weeks before departure so I missed out on all the benefits the forum offers! I'm excited to have this resource as I help plan her weddding.

Does anyone know anything about weddings at the Grand Pineapple? Or does anyone have any suggestions? I'd love to see some pics!

We'd appreciate it!

I haven't stayed there before but when I was in Jamaica last week for my site visit (before I switched to Grand Palladium), I got a property tour of Grand Pineapple and a couple other beach hotels.

Grand Pineapple is a small, standard property (I just saw the beach side) but was cute & really colorful. The management was nice & very helpful. They gave me some information packets and all of their contact information. PM me if you need any of it.

The packet they gave me says this about weddings-

Weddings attract an additional cost for the basic package. The basic wedding package includes: services of a minister or marriage officer, services of a wedding coordinator, marriage certificate, bridal bouquet, groom's boutonniere, bottle of sparkling wine, wedding cake and a choice of on-resort wedding locale. For further information, please contact the wedding department or the wedding coordinator at Grand Pineapple Beach Negril.

(No prices were included)

Sorry, I only took a couple pictures while I was there:

We may be getting married at the Grand Pineapple next year too.  They offer some great deals.

The reviews are 90% positive.  A few reviews have scared me like the ones saying that people have been moved to another hotel and bug issues.  I'm hoping these are resolved.

I don't want a cookie cutter resort wedding in a restaurant with Italian food...

I want a beach wedding with a Jamaican buffet... we're in Jamaica!!!

Anyone know anything about the Grand Pineapple?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
