Has anyone ordered 2 entrees? My niece is going with the surf & turf combo (filet & shrimp), but has some non-beef/non-seafood eaters in the group. Can you order a chicken or veggie dish instead? If so, is there an additional charge?

can I make a silly little slightly irrelevant request? Can people update their information on the left column (below the avatar pic), specifically wedding date (although seeing where the brides are from is interesting too, and also put Dreams Tulum or "undecided" as your resort so we can remember if you are deciding or booked). I don't know about the rest of you, but I am constatly glancing over there to try to keep all your brides straight since there are so many on this thread and it helps to put things into context when reading your posts and replying to your questions. I am often shifting back to the bride list on page 1 but it would also be helpful if people put their dates under their username. Of course you don't have to, but if you want to, here is how you do it:

 

-click "quick links" way at the top on the right

 

-choose "user control panel"

 

-click "Edit your details" which is the first link on the left column.

 

-enter your info!

I was wondering if any one has had or is planning a catholic wedding ceremony at the resort?

 

I was doing some research and it may be a little tricky. If any of you girls have done it or are planning on having a catholic ceremony I'd love to know about it. Also, would the resort wc help in finding a priest?

We're only offering one entree, but we've got a headcount of vegetarians in our group and have arranged with Landy to substitute a pasta entree (penne arabiatta) for those guests at no extra charge.

Hi Ladies-

It has been sometime since I posted but have been trying to keep up wih everything the last couple of weeks. Very excited everything is back up and running and the knot in my stomach has finally gone away.

 

I do have a question though and I am pretty sure it has been addressed before but I am going to ask again. We are not planning on having a DJ but are thinking of bringing our own music burned to a CD, does anyone know if they resort can supply a CD player and sound system for us to use, and the cost?

Yes you can do that. For the ceremony the sound system is free (although for me, 7 months ago, they asked for a 5$ tip for the guy operating it). For the reception it's 150$. The system is just one big speaker that you can hook up a cd player or ipod.

Hi Ladies!!

 

So I'm in Miami getting ready for my honeymoon but wanted to tell you that my wedding was absolutely wonderful and I am so excited for all of you to have your day! You are going to have the best time ever!! It is awesome to look over and think, this is my husband....

 

Anyway, I won't be much help here with you guys since I ended up having the ceremony at the Barcelo Palace and it looks like you guys are all back on track at the DT. Congratulations and I am so happy to hear you guys are back at that hotel and will not have to live through any more anguish...

 

I can tell you that Magda did my flowers and will most likely do yours and she is wonderful. They came out just the way I asked. Jean-Marcus was insanely great, I'll do a quick review of all he did for me soon, but he is awesome and I would not have changed him for anyone else

 

I think that the flowers and Jean-Marcus are the only two things in my wedding that would apply to you guys... if someone has a question PM me since I am not reading the whole entire thread now, it is hard to get online and I will be gone 2 more weeks.

Hey ladies, I have a question for those of you that have had your ceremony in the chapel - what were the decorations like? Did you have bring a lot with you or did the resort do a decent job?
