I was thinking about going on a Tuesday to be there one day early, but then I felt like it would be kind of lame to go to work just one day on Monday and then leave Tuesday. We plan to have some activities for guests planned Wed-Sun, but maybe we should change the travel days to Tuesday-Saturday. Any thoughts?
Hi suzanne,

something to maybe consider whilst still in the planning stages is if its cheaper to travel on a particular day or at a particular time of day, your TA should be able to confirm.

I also think jerzygirl makes a good point about not having too much time to get sunburnt / tan lines before the big day.

Has anyone been allowed to do this? Choose one item from the silver menu even though you have the gold menu?? I have been emailing Landy, Natalia, Aurora and Anabel and none of them have given me a straight answer!!! It's getting to be frustrating since I think this is a very simple question.
Hi joanna, can you just clear something up for me, are they allowing you to choose two entrees because its considered a buffet style ( which is only allowed for a min of 50 people.) or did you just request it. Thanks

You really don't need to mention it to them until you fill out the forms they send you about 1 month prior to the wedding. It is very flixible to change your mind once you get there also...try not to worry about it too much. Do you have something particular in mind?

Who gave you the ok for 2 entrees? In case Aurora tells us that we can't, it would be helpful to have the extra info! Thanks for letting us know!
I originally asked about the two entrees from Natalia a few weeks ago who agreed that it would be possible as long as we give her a head count before hand. I have also been emailing Landy lately who seems to be the head WC there and she also agreed that I am able to offer only 2 entrees (i tried for 3 but she wouldn't give).

FYI, Landy has an out office message stating that she will be away until May 22nd in case you don't hear from her right away.

hahaha! I feel the exact same way! My wedding isn't until next year and I already found out there is a wedding an hour before mine and possiby one after as well.

I was thinking about emailing the WC now and telling them what locations I want!

I just requested it. I tried to get 3 entrees out of them but they said no way. They allowed the 2 entrees for me as long as I give them a head count before hand.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
