The new Dreams Tulum thread! (Post all DT Qs&As here)

Recommended Posts

So I'm really computer illiterate, and I was wondering if anyone could tell me how I can go about writing my review so it's an attachment. Or do I just type it up as a message like this? Sorry...Hope someone can help. What is the easiest way to attatch pictures?

You could do it by the lobby or in the court yard by the chapel

can I pay for the wedding on my Amex card? Also, those who used outside vendors-what did Dreams charge you? I am leaving Monday and starting to bug out
I know they definitely take credit cards...not sure about AMEX but I'm sure they do! Good Luck and have an amazing time!

Hi girls,

I haven't decided whether to pay for my wedding using my credit card. Ideally, I'd like to pay it in cash using my debit card. Has anyone else done this? In order for this to work though, I need the total bill to be less than $5000 because that's my bank's daily purchase allowance. A bit annoying but what can you do?

I posted this thread on the Riviera Maya forum in case anyone has heard about the swine flu in Mexico City: http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t41390

I've received 8 emails about it today from concerned family members - UGH. I'm trying to make everyone calm down. My anxiety level is high enough because we're leaving in 8 days... I find it almost funny (in a maniacal way) that this issue has arisen right before we leave. I hope Mexican health officials are able to figure out a solution soon and that it doesn't escalate into more deaths.

DEEP BREATH... Serenity Now!

Don't make your review an attachment, members need points to open attachments.

What you can do is write it on your computer (in microsoft word or whatever software you use) and then copy and paste it here. But rather than putting it in the thread you should start a new thread and call it something like "WiscounsinBride's Dreams Tulum review". You should post it in this sub-forum (the section of the Best Destination Wedding forum that is specifically for reviews) Wedding Reviews - Best Destination Wedding Forum (that way not only Dreams Tulum brides see it, everyone will. Plus it is easier for future brides to find it if it has it's own link rather than being lost somewhere in this ginormous thread).

To post pictures, you need to get a account with Photobucket. You upload your pictures to your photobucket account, then under each picture there will be a link (there are actually 3 links, you want the last one) and copy and paste the link into your thread. The images will show up in the thread, even though the photos are actually located on photobucket. If you have serious problems doing this you can always email me your pictures (send me a PM and I will send you my email address) and I will do it for you. Another option is to use any other photo website (picasa web album, snapfish, etc) and provide the link for the whole album. If you do that, the photos won't show up directly in the thread, it will be a link that brings people to another page to go see your photos.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
