Just joking - we've hardly seen you around here lately!

Why aren't you freaking out about the closure like the rest of the DT brides to be ? ? ?

I'm sorry I've been MIA...and I'm so praying for all you Oct/Nov brides who still don't know what the heck is going on for your big day! Fingers crossed we'll get news soon!!!

And it's not that I'm not freaking out, its just that I don't think that would accomplish much and my wedding is still three months away. I'm one of the lucky ones who has a really supportive family and a great FI who all agree that our wedding day will be amazing no matter what happens, so I'm just going with the flow here. If we get moved, we'll deal...I still get to spend time with my friends and family and marry the best guy on earth so I can't really complain.

I know I probably sound a little too zen to be true, believe me I've had my moments. I'm just not letting myself get crazed anymore, it takes away from all the fun!

To avoid anyone hating me for being too calm, I have other problems that you won't be jealous of...like my wedding dress came in and actually fits, but its the wrong color! And they can't order a new one because it won't arrive on time, so I just have to deal. So everything isn't rosy, but what can you do!

SDTOOLEY - We're using Claudia Rodriguez, as well, and she's been such a gem to work with so far so I'd recommend her!

Neen-you have a good attitude about everything! Very impressive. I agree with you about the wedding day-what are you going to do? You just have to wait and see what happens. And you are correct, at the end of the day you are marrying the man of your dreams and that is all that matters.

Yes, I agree with you neen! It's so easy to get stressed out over this situation (with good reason), but in the end it won't help to change the outcome. I'm just hoping that DT continues to care about their customers. It seems to me that all of the displaced brides (and their guests) have been treated really well. If this continues to happen, then I'm sure no matter where our wedding takes place, we'll have an amazing time.

Now if only certain members of my family could stop stressing about it! I've been trying to stay calm but it's hard when I'm constantly being told: "Perhaps you should be more pro-active and move your wedding."

Thanks for all of the suggestions about photgraphers. I truly appreciate it.

I am very happy that this forum exists because it is mainly the only thing that is keeping e positive about Dreams Tulum and all of the happenings going on right now. I am trying to my hardest to stay away from the closure threads, so I can remain sain and positive. Thank you again for all of the suggestions and help everyone and let's just keep thinking that everything is going to be perfect for Dreams Tulum.

hi ladies

i know there is a fair chance my wedding is going to be moved from DT, but I'm continuing to plan as if everything will be fine and I have a question...

I think we've discussed this before, but I can't seem to find the right page.

What is the cost of the wedding dinner for kids (chicken nuggets, fries)?? I know I asked Landy myself, but can't find it in my notes...$20 is sticking in my head for some reason, but could be wrong...

Thanks!

thanks...i'm still searching for the right page to confirm what we're thinking :)

I haven't heard anything from DT, but then again I haven't contacted them since July when I did my site visit. I was being a good girl and waiting my turn and with all this craziness, I guess I'm still just waiting my turn - there is likely nothing they can say/tell me yet about my wedding in Jan.

I AM eagerly reading the closure thread though waiting for good news like everyone elsesmile41.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
