Does anyone know of/have used a cigar roller at their cocktail hour? thought it would be a nice addition to the event. I haven't been able to find anything out through searches besides some shady websites.

I'm getting married October 19, 2013 at Dreams Tulum and have a few questions for everyone (this has been an awesome resource by the way- thank you!)

      1) Did you find it to be too dark on the beach without lights ?  I'm not sure I want paper lanterns but I want the guests to be able to see what they are eating. Also, did you find your paper products (menu, placecards etc. blew away? I really want a small/intimate space but I refuse to pay for another extra (aka the wine vault room) and I feel like the banquet is way too big for a group of 20. Also, would you be able to hear the ipod music on the beach if we went that route (were not renting a dance floor - more of a dinner setting)?

      2) Anyone hear the romantic trio? Would that be suitable for the ceremony?

      3) Anyone have a decently priced photographer willing to do a one hour shoot? We don't have it in the budget for two photographers and Dreams Tulum will nto let me opt out of using theirs. I have already contacted Del Sol, Sascha Gluck , and a few others - none of which are willing to do a one hour shoot (just the ceremony and a first look shoot for the  bride/groom. (Dreams Tulum would shoot the rest).

      Thanks,

      Shauna

        Hi Everyone-

We are considering bringing a docking station- we found one that is pretty loud at sells for about $599. Will it be a problem to get it into the country?

          Hi fiddle!

i don't think you'll have trouble getting in the mexico, just have it out of the box and without a price tag. Customs are any concerned with ppl reselling stuff, and the obvious guns, drugs, and explosives. Also FYI, I've heard that some brides will use the docking stations from their rooms, just be sure to bring batteries. Not sure how loud they are though...

That was my concern- this one is supposed to be loud- FI is researching... Seems like their sound system is such a rip off, if I can have this and have it forever! Thanks for your answer!

                Hey everyone,

We leave in just a week!!! i do have a question for the music. We rented the sound system, did most of you just bring a cd with you or how did you get the music to play with their sound system. I do have an iphone, could i put the songs on there and bring a cord to connect to their speakers?

                Thanks!

                  Hi kaci!

i think the idea is that you use your iPod or phone... I think I remember reading that? Is this for your ceremony or reception? I know I plan on using the sound system for or ceremony and Nayeli said a technician could change songs for us that way

Kaci- We used our Ipod and had each part of the ceremony broken down to seperate playlists ie. bridal party entrance, bride entrance, exits

our ipod connected directly to the speakers

Teagan, I  and was wondering, how was the timing on your music? Did you like edit the songs to certain lengths, cutting out intros? Fade in/fade out? I'm confused on this lol... I don't want the music to sound cheesy when the tech changes the song
