Wow, so much good information on this thead. THANK YOU PAST BRIDES! Who knew a destination wedding would be so complicated :)

I am trying to figure out how much it costs for set up fees. I have paid for the Ultimate Wedding Package which includes 20 people. Does the resort charge for each extra chair? Is there a separate chair fee for the ceremony and reception? I'm trying to figure out our budget for 55 people, not including the extras (like lanterns, sashes, etc.)

Also, did anyone use the resort photographer? Likes/dislikes?

Past brides, you are the BEST!  I'm starting to have anxiety since I've never been to this resort, so I'm loving all these details!  woot2.gif

Quick question, I read somewhere that the resort discoteca was closed.  Is this true?  My travel agent emailed the concierge and he said it was temporary but I think there was a little bit lost in translation.....

We were talking about it a few pages back, I believe it is closed permently! But If I remember right a bride had said there are nightly dances on the beach to take its place.

We were there October.20-27 and the discotec was open for 2 nights of that in the actual room and then it was closed after that. But they totally made up for it, they had a disco on the beach. It was awesome!! we went there almost every night and it was so much fun.

 Hi rootkl,

We paid 1500 and that included:

the light up dance floor $750

music and DJ services for 4 hours

cold fire works (i think they gave us those for free it wasnt included in our invoice and we hadnt asked for them)

Its pricey however we found it to be worth it, they were alot of fun

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
