The new Dreams Tulum thread! (Post all DT Qs&As here)

Recommended Posts

Hi ladies,

I finally got a concrete answer about getting the photographer for more hours! I got an answer back from Andrea, the same person who gave some info to sisterofthebrideerica.

They said they can offer 6 hours of coverage for 979$, including 80 photos (she did not specifically mention the CD, but I assume it is included because that's what I asked for). I will ask for confirmation about the CD being included, and also clarification if that price is the same no matter which wedding package you have (which obviously it shouldn't be, people with the higher packages should pay less for this package seeing as some photography is already included free)

I would e-mail her again telling her you want to work on your invitations and you need to know if that date is booked for you for sure. Giving her a reason you need an anwer might help. I am almost sure you will be ok, they are just so kick back, but e-mailing her again will help. Don't worry, it will all work out. I know how crazy it feels sometimes...

Good Luck!

Hi Girls--

I just got this email from Lizette regarding places you can have an outside reception with music and not have to pay the $750 private event fee--I know ERnurse and I were really wanting to know and maybe others, too. (When she says mexican restaurant terrace I am assuming she means El Patio.)

Hi Lizette!

If I have either the Ultimate or Dreams of Love Package, where can I have an outside reception and not be charged the $750 private event fee and still have music? The beach and the pool?

Thank you!

Sincerely,

Chandra Padover

Dear Chandra

Yes you can have the dinner by the Beach and or at the pool terrace, or Mexican restaurant terrace.

Kind regards.

Sunbride - thanks for doing all of this work to get answers out of the photographers. It was making me crazy so I had given up for the time being. It is good to know that you can book them for a longer period of time.

As far as the bonfire goes Lizete just gave me a price of $50. I'm assuming that does not include any food or drinks. I may get stuff to make smores while we're there and then everyone can just get their drinks from the closest bar. I'm hoping giving one of the servers a really nice tip will get them to come out to the beach and bring the guests drinks.

Has anyone done a bonfire yet?

It sounds to me then like the cost of bonfire is 50$ + 12$ per person for food and drinks (optional).

50$ to set-up a bonfire sounds pretty cheap to me! I mean there is not only the fire but also chairs or logs (to sit on) to set-up.

And I agree that you should totally just bring your own snacks and have your guests go to the bar (the pool bar next to seaside grill or the Sugar reef bar on the other side of the pools - so whever you are on the beach there is a bar within 1 minute walk). Don't forget to bring some sort of pokey stick thing for the marshmellows!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
