So I won't be around much for the next 3 weeks. Lucky duck! Have fun, we will miss you on here... definitely!

I'm wondering if maybe that'll turn into more of a rehearsal dinner now. It seems like some brides had a rehearsal before the wedding but some didn't. Would you recommend a rehearsal? Is this something I need to request or do they just assume that there will be one?

        Amy

Amy - There is not really a need for a rehearsal before the wedding, but for my ceremony we had a few young kids involved so it was good practice for them. We had 24 people in our party. We only had the actual people involved in the ceremony meet us to rehearse and then everyone else met us at the World Cafe for dinner. You do need to request it with the WC.

Hi girls! The time is almost here! I had a few questions for some of the most recent brides...

I emailed Natalia who is doing our wedding and she said that the cost to have a speaker ipod set up is $220 USD....is that what some of you paid?! Thats so much! Also, she quoted me at $90USD to bring a photographer or the day, wasn't it $50USD? Just checking to see if I have any room to bargin!
            Thanks for your help!

hm-I am pretty sure that they only charged me $55 for a day pass for my photographers. But they only stayed for 4 hours...maybe it is because they are staying the entire day?

I think if the photographrs are staying to eat then yes, it's $90 but if they are not then they only need the half day pass which is $55. We paid $200 or $220 for our set up as well.

On page 1 I had indicated that the day pass is 55$ for a half day (lunch and dinner) or 80$ for a full day (breakfast, lunch, dinner). Maybe it's gone up from 80$-90$.

They really need to release a new wedding guide with this info! Last year it was released in June I think so maybe there will be a new one soon.

In the 2009 Guide, it is indicated $80 for a full day, and $55 for a half day (which doesn't include breakfast I believe). These prices were confirmed with Anabel recently for our photographers.

Once again, frustrating how there seem to be inconsistencies!!!

                      Hi girls!
First off, sunbride, have a great time!! The next time we chat I'll be married!! Aghh!!

Lindz, we need to meet up for a drink!!!

How much did you girls tip D.J. Mannia and Landy? I know I've seen this a million times, but if someone wouldn't mind sharing that would be great.

Also, let me know what you think about this...my ceremony is at 6:00, and we have d.j. mannia, so basically, if we did cocktail hour at 7-8, we wouldn't be done eating dinner until like 8:30-9, and have to be done with d.j. mannia at 10:30? I think that's not long at all...so, I'm thinking of a cocktail hour before the wedding? From 5:00-6:00, wedding at 6:00-6:30, and rite after group pics, the guests can head to the reception and begin eating rite away. I'm not concerned about eating honestly, I'm sure I'll get it in at some point..that way, we could get moving with d.j. mannia, etc. Let me know your thoughts, and if anyone can weigh in on how much photos, reception actually take, please let me know!!!

                      Thanks!!!
                      Lonna
