Have you checked the sunset time for June? I would guess that it's probably after 7, so I think you'll be fine. But you'd be better off doing all your pictures before when there is still plenty of light.

Hi!

My name is Jessica and I also live in Montreal! My wedding is on June 23rd! What date are you deciding to have your wedding?

I don't think 6pm is too late but you have to take into consideration that you probably won't have any sun left for pics after the ceremony. Also, the reception only last 3 hours or so at the resort and they usually have to end by 10pm. The whole thing may be a little rushed. You should try on booking a 4:00pm time slot, that way you will benefit from the sun pre and post ceremony for pics, than pics with the sunset etc...plus leaving you plenty of time to enjoy the cocktail hour before the reception.

That is what I am doing. My ceremony is at 4:00pm. I hope it works out as I planned!

BTW, what travel agent did you book for the trip?

Thanks!

We should keep in touch seeing as we are both montrealers!

Jessica

I just booked Claudia Rodriguez for photography and am soooo excited! Sweet; I have the date, place, resort, and photographer all secured!!!

Now, I can just lay back and do nothing for the next few months. I have to say those decisions were by far the most difficult and stressful...should be smooth sailing from here on out...right?!

Thanks ladies! I'm on the 25th! Unfortunately, they told me that was the only spot left! I would have preferred 4pm... I might have to do a pre ceremony cocktail for the guests, and do the reception right after the ceremony.

I still haven't done all the flight booking etc... I'm talking to a few different companies. I hope to have some quotes in the next few days!

I would like to keep in touch Jessica!

That's great news!! I have all the same things done, but what is starting to bug me are the guests who still need to book their travel!!!! I'm waiting for about 5-7 more people and then I can release the unnecessary rooms I booked.

Hey ladies!!! I just wanted to let you know I'm back from my November 28th wedding at DT.... and it was everything I wanted it to be!! I loved every second of it, and it's sad/wet/cold to be home! I am working on my planning and review, so don't worry - it's going to be pretty extensive though =) Which I know you like to hear!! Anabel was our WC and she was the sweetest, most hard-working person I have ever met... as is the rest of the DT staff. I wanted to let you know I posted some TTD/After Session teasers from my photog (she blogged them in the Cancun airport, that's how awesome she is). I am so lucky to have had her (Critsey Rowe in case any of you are wondering). So until next time, ENJOY!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
