The new Dreams Tulum thread! (Post all DT Qs&As here)

Recommended Posts

Heading to Dreams in 2 days and getting married in a week! Little nervous as there still seems to be so much to accomplish before we go. Reading the recent comments make me feel a lot better! I'm glad Aurora is a pro at this, I'm hoping she will be able to smooth out all the rough spots! Wish us luck!

Quick question about a sound system. I've notice some people have been using an ipod dock and that's been enough and others have been renting the sound system for the ceremony and reception. We have about 30 people coming to our wedding. Do you think it would be fine to just use our ipod dock or is their sound system worth paying for?

Thanks guys!! and I can't wait for the new reviews!!
Welcome!

For the ceremony, if you want your guests to be able to hear what is going on (your vows, the Minister speaking) you need to get the sound system which comes with a microphone, otherwise people won't hear you with the wind and the waves. As a guest to a DW where I couldn't hear anything, I'll tell you that it sucks to travel that far and not hear what is going on.

For the reception, if you want to get the crowd dancing, you'd need to have a good docking system to have the music be loud enough.

I just posted my review http://bestdestinationwedding.com/fo...17-09-a-52437/

I feel like there was a lot more I could say, but it seemed so long when it was all written out! Let me know if you have any questions. Like I said, I absolutely loved our wedding at DT, and would not have changed a thing! Thanks to all the previous brides whose ideas, designs and projects I copied as well! This thread and board in general was a lifesaver!

Have a fabulous time and an awesome wedding! I think it's inevitable to be a little nervous but just let it go once you get there and enjoy all that's important. It seems like the wedding coordinators are very experienced and will take good care of you and if anything were to go wrong, hopefully it's so minor it's barely worth mentioning in your "review"! Good luck!

Thanks,

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
