Ok, I think I finally made up my mind... I'm having my reception in the ballroom. I just keep on thinking how hot it is in July. People are going to be baking in the sun all day-so I thought it would be better to be inside. I personaly get cranky when I'm hot, so inside is definitly my best option!

 

So with that being said, I need some help!!!!

 

1- Pictures PLEASE- I'm wondering what the rooms look like. I'm also wondering what the table set-up will look like. ANY PIC.'S WOULD BE GREAT!!! I saw the pictures from page 2 of the forum, but I would like to see more

 

2- Dance floor- is there one in the room already or do I have to pay?

 

3- Could anyone give any advise or comments reguarding the ballroom

I don't think you'll have much luck getting more info on the Ballrooms. It's very rare for brides to have their reception there. Also as you know there are very few married ladies who stick around her after their wedding to answer questions.

 

Chibi411 is the only bride that I can think of who had her reception there (I remembered it was somebody a few months after my own wedding but I had to go back to the detailed bride info section on page 1 to find her, you should keep looking to see if they are others listed there by checking where it says "reception location" for each bride). Make sure to read all the pages as there are photos on the 3rd pages and lots of Qs&As that might help you.

I was scheduled to have my reception at the relax pool on a Saturday evening (10/24), but due to rain they moved us to Bordeaux. Anabel did not say anything about a Saturday show while we were there, but perhaps it has changed in the last month?

I dont know Natalia didnt mention that to me but she told you so who knows. How long ago did you send her that question?

When we were there they had fire dancers on Saturday night near the adult pool. From the other pool you couldnt tell they were there.

I hope not!! I'm planning on having my reception there. I had sent an email to Landy and Natalia about the locations and neither mentioned to me that this would not be an option.

I was on tripadvisor.com recently (I read the reviews for DT there from time to time) and someone had posted that they were irritated that the evening events are scheduled around, or sometimes cancelled due to, weddings at the resort. Actually several of the reviews pointed out that DT really prioritizes their wedding business over that of the standard vacationers. It sounded to me that entertainment is scheduled around the location of wedding receptions.

Which, I suppose, is good news for us here on this board!
