The new Dreams Tulum thread! (Post all DT Qs&As here)

Recommended Posts

If this was already answered, then sorry. But I have to ask, if you choose the Dreams Ultimate Package, is it possible to substitute the Mexican Trio with a violinist? Then again, I am thinking using a violinist for the ceremony and the MT for Cocktails. Also, for the video part, do they have to do the wedding? Can it be used for the Rehearsal Dinner instead? I heard you can do that with pictures but I am wondering about video too. I really wanna use Claudia Rodriguez and Co. for photos and video should I decide using the DUP.

Good thing we're looking into 2011 because if this is next year, we'll be very stressed out about it now.

Hi everyone! My name is Veronica and my FI and I are getting ready to send in our deposit to confirm our date for May 6, 2011 at DT. I've gotten a lot of information from this thread and from Aurora. I'm doing the Ultimate Package and bringing my own photographer from home. I just have one question because I just asked Aurora this but it wasn't clear so I thought that you ladies could help me out. Concerning the fabric for the canopy I want to bring an extra color with me how much is it for them to set-up. Also with the reception tables are the linens included the white linen and napkins, or do you also have to pay extra for these even if it's not for a different color?

The beach is not rocky-it is getting into the ocean that is the problem. We went into the ocean a few times. If you walk past the SeaSide Grill about 5 minutes you wont have a problem with the rocks. Also the rocks are only a problem when you first get into the ocean. Once you are a few feet away from the coast line it is totally fine

Well last summer we went to the Tulum Ruins, which are close by, and what I remember most from our Mexico trip was the BEAUTIFUL blue water---so trust me, I don't think it will deter too much from the beach at the ruins. and the proximity to the ruins is great.

Hi Vlynnw,

If you do the ultimate package, then the white tulle setup is included, if you bring a special colored tulle to have set up, then they will charge you $60 to set it up. That's what I was quoted from Aurora. I think for the reception, the white linens are included and white napkins, but if you want different colored napkins or linens, that's when you have to pay. That's just what I would assume, I haven't asked her specifically about the linens, but based on the wedding guide, colored napkins are $4 per person, but with the ultimate package, it may be included. You should ask your wedding coordinator. Have you been corresponding with Aurora?

Thanks, yes I've been in contact with Aurora. I asked her the same thing because after my original email asking about an extra color for the canopy she gave me a list of pricing for other linens. All of the prices included in the wedding guide, the $18 per linen and $4 napkins. I emailed her again to specify about if that also meant for the basic white linens with the ultimate package or not, but I wanted to ask here also just to get an idea a little quicker if I don't hear from her right away to get an idea.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
