hi everyone,

i have a question about walking down the aisle music---do you play a full song and have the bridesmaids go down first and you come at a climax part? Or do you just burn part of a song onto a CD and give it to the hotel to play right when you come down the aisle?

I think people do it different ways. I had canon in D (provided by the resort) and we all walked down the aisle to it. Some other people choose to have a different song for the bride. If your song isn't finished by the time your (or the bridesmaids if you want a different song for you) are done walking down the aisle they will just fade out the music. I think it would be hard to time the bride's entrance to a particular part in the song since it's hard to know how long it will take to walk down the aisle, you'd have to practice it with your bridesmaids in advance when you get there.

Congrats on your upcoming wedding!!!

As per the new wedding guide, it states that they can perform "2-3 weddings per day" ......It's so frustrating! I wish they would only perform 1 per day!!!

Hi Ladies!!

Day before the wedding question here:

1. Are you allowed to rehearse in the location where your ceremony will take place?

2. What do we do about a rehearsal dinner? Do we have to pay per person as we do for the wedding reception or can we just go with the group to dinner after having a rehearsal?

Hi!

From what I have read on the site before, you can have a rehearsal the day before the wedding but you MUST arrange it prior to your arrival with your WC. Always keep your e-mails fromt the WC and print them out as proof that things have been previously arranged/approved etc...that way there is no confusion, seeing as they have to organize many weddings.

As for the dinner, I guess your best bet is to go to one of the a la carte restaurants, that way no extra charge is required. You can bring some decorations from home for the tables, chairs etc.....I'm sure they wouldn't mind. Are all your guests staying at the resort? If not, there may be an extra fee.

Good luck!

I dont know it's been talked about yet but I got a quote back on April 2'cd for $4,500 for 7 nights dec.7-14 2009 we reserved our rooms for this price because we needed all the time in the world to save. SO the 4,500 was JUST for the resort no insurance, transfers or flights!

We just booked last month our entire trip through AAA travel services with flights for a lot less.

Our details:

All prices are shown in U.S. dollars:

2 adults

Flight + Hotel Price: $ 2,859.82

Taxes and Fees (Flight + Hotel): $ 219.52

Olympus Tours Cancun-Riviera Maya Transfers (Includes Tax): $ 125.00

Travel Protection 2 $ 75.95: $ 151.90

------------

TotalTrip Price: $ 3,356.24

So if anyone is in a similar situation i would recommend to re look into everything. Flights went down because the economy is bad and Aurora from dreams said that internet prices vary from specials they are running but nothing was stated they were running anything, i know you can save like 10% booking through AAA anyway, and it's cheap and you get car service too! so worth it.

Hope this info will find someone helpful i know i was thrilled to save that much money!

is there one place to view gazebo/arbor ideas.

I know it's a huge dilemma for people because they have that standard way they do it (wrapped tightly around the poles) which i personally don't find attractive i'd like to take advantage of the wind!

We're doing pink and green parasols & handfans and large white parasol for us, and the same colors for chair wraps (only 6 chairs) Maybe the same green pink and white on the arbor. would love to see some photos of what other people did:) Thanks

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
