As for the fire dancers, I agree with Chanti - I think that you could move the celebration over to watch them and there would be seats. There were also a lot of people standing around to watch them too, which could work if worse came to worse.

The fire dancers performed at the Caribbean party on Friday while we were there, but I'm not totally sure if that is always the case. We had originally requested to have the fire dancers at our wedding. Then, in the month or so before the wedding, the WC told us that they were scheduled to perform at the resort on our night, and that if we wanted them to, they would have performed their regularly scheduled show at the other end of the relax pool so that our party could see them (but we would not have to pay, as they would already be performing for the other resort guests, who would have also been by the relax pool, then). In the end, I told her that we didn't want to (b/c she had said it was an hour long show, and I was afraid it would have taken up our entire reception b/c we were getting a late start). Then, when we got to the resort, she said they moved the show to Friday since we didn't want them.

I'm not sure if this was only an option b/c we were a larger party, but it is something to keep in mind and talk to the WC about.
thanks for all the helpful information. I hope its on Friday so we can have a welcome dinner around that.

Hey everyone,

I wanted to know how past brides have transported their wedding dresses on board of the plane? I heard from another blog that many airlines do not allow us to bring them on!! I was sure I could bring it with me and have them hang it in the closet... I definately don't want to have to pack it in a suitcase!

Any input would be great!

Thanks!

We flew American Airlines. I carried my dress on in a garment bag and didn't have any problems. I would recommend calling your airline's customer service ahead of time and asking what your options are (that's what I did). Also, the DT staff will press your dress for you, so even if you had to put it in a suitcase, they will get it ready! I arranged this with Anabel when we met with her.

Congrats on your successful day, Dee!

So one of the girls who just posted their review said they had the free package, but did pay for the dinner... my question is how was it only $20 per person for dinnerhuh.gif?

5. Reception dinner outside of El Patio $20 usd each + 10% tax + 15% gratuity

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
