Oh too funny, we are switching over on the 19th as well. We're at Dreams from the 13th to 19th, then at Secrets until the 24th. Have you arranged a transfer from Dreams to Secrets? Our TA just told us to arrange for a cab when we were down there, as Apple Vacations doesn't transfer between resorts...

I am getting so excited, but so nervous for all the stuff I need to do!

Hola chicas! I'm still in Mexico enjoying my honeymoon but I wanted to give you all a quick review of the wedding. I'll do a more detailed review when I get back. We arrived last Tuesday and the first couple of days at the resort were kinda rough...the service was not good and I was getting really nervous. The service greatly improved after our guests arrived but it was still just okay. We moved to Excellence Riviera Cancun for our honeymoon and their service blows Dreams Tulum away.

 

We did the Caribbean Night party for our welcome dinner on Friday and everyone loved it! The wedding was on Saturday at 5:00 PM. All the guests had a great time and the wedding turned out beautiful. Natalia was our wedding coordinator and did an excellent job. We had our ceremony and reception on the beach next to the Sea Side Grill. The only issue we really had were the mosquitos that came out after dark...obviously nothing the resort can do about that though. We just went and got some Off Wipes from our welcome bags and continued the party!

 

We had a positive experience overall although we did have some issues. We were the only wedding on Saturday which I think helped. We get back on Thursday so I can give a more detailed review when I return!

So I am getting extremely excited and nervouse because I am packing things up and I leave on Saturday morning. I cannot believe that the time is here and it has flown by! So thank you to everyone for all of your help and ideas. Hopefully everything that we have packed will make it safely to Mexico and hopefully the resort lives up to all of the expectations that everyone has set:)

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!

      Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else.
