Yes you can have champagne at the reception also

jerzygirl85, that's awesome! We'll probably be arriving that day so I might spy from afar :)

I got an email from Aurora today - I'd asked her about having a bonfire (my one must-have) and she responded that they aren't allowed right now but will be able to tell me two months prior...

I'm having some second thoughts and wondering if I shouldn't just drag everyone off the resort to a beach-front restaurant somewhere for the ceremony, dinner & reception - someplace where we can definitely have a bonfire.... hmmmm....

Maggie,

We are getting married November 18th and then moving over to Secrets Maroma as well! Maybe we'll run into each other at some point! Also wanted to let you know you're not the only one taking the laid-back approach to this whole wedding planning process...I feel so behind when I see how motivated other brides are on here, but they do give me some great ideas :)

Oh that's awesome! We'll have to meet up for a drink at somepoint, maybe on our honeymoons! :) When do you switch over to Secrets?

Are you having many people attend your wedding?

Oh, and I'm so happy to hear you've been to Maroma Beach before! And lucky you doing a site visit - fun!!
We are considering chartering a sunset catamaran cruise for all of our guests, but it is still up in the air. We thought that a nice excursion, with everyone together, might be nice.

We should definitely meet up for drinks! We switch over to Secrets on the 19th, but we are staying at Dreams a few days before the wedding so that we can still spend time with our family and friends. Right now, we have about 35 people coming. When are y'all transferring to Secrets?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
