You could try sending a PM to Neen who got married in January. Also look at pictures of other brides and send PMs to anyone who had those flowers.

The only one I've heard of being really expensive is orchids. I don't remember hearing that about calla lillies. But it may depend on the season too.

I would definitely try to get it confirmed asap, I would be concerned too if I was in your shoes. Just try to keep an open mind as they do have a lot of great locations. I'm sure they can do 2 beach receptions the same night, one on each end of the beach and you wouldn't even be able to hear or see eachother.

Let us know if they allow you to confirm in advance or if they make you wait until it's your turn to fill in the form. It seems to me priority should go to whoever booked first (both the location, if allowed, otherwise whoever booked their wedding first) If you do get a confirmation, make sure to bring your emails with you when you go.

Hey everyone,

I just got my price quotes from my TA and I am a little shocked a what she came up with. Apparently she states that it will cost $2800 per person (based onndbl occ.) and $1600 for children...I have looked on websites like "expedia" and for the same week in 2009 a year before my wedding, they have quoted 1500 includung tax. Now this was before the swine flu pandemic so it had no role on the price.

Out of curiosity, how much are your TA'S quoteshuh.gif My guests will definately not want to attend at close to $3000 a person.....

I'm so confused......

Trying to book reception location myself for wedding on June 29th: apparently they cannot confirm your location until 3 weeks prior to the wedding. We've been asked to provide our first, second and third choices. Thus, it would be impossible to confirm the location 1 year ahead of time.

There are many great locations so I'm sure everyone will be happy in the end :-) Also, Mother Nature may not cooperate and you may be moved indoors at the last minute, so there really is no point stressing about it too much in advance!

That is a lot! We're in Toronto, and got our guests a group rate of $1800 for one week. Shouldn't be that much more expensive for you in Montréal!!!

Hi there! I am also getting married at Dreams but not until December but I have been reading the posts in the forum and came across yours. The price your TA gave you seems really high...I am paying about $1400 Cdn flying out of Detroit in December with 7 nights and air included..but we were quoted about $1600 Cdn flying out of Toronto. ....I would look a little further into the prices..that just seems really high especially with all this swine flu craziness you would think the prices would drop! Hope you get some better prices!!
Take care!

I am a bit annoyed..I just received a message from Aurora that she cannot confirm SSG for me until 2 weeks out..However, I did inform her that I have MULTIPLE E-MAILS saved from Landy and everyone esle I have been in contact witht that they originally stated that I would know one month in advance..as per the wedding guide. They really need to called out on their inconsistencies..I'm honestly thinking of printing all of the pages on this thread so I don't have any inconsistencies with prices when I arrive!!!!

Lonna I have been tempted to do the same thing. It drives me crazy they do for one but not another. I just feel like they could really screw you over on prices of things!! I just might print some things out to take with me. We leave in a week so I guess I better go to it.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
