I am the one who updates the list. I only do it about once a month as it is a lot of work and because I have to contact one of the moderators and ask them to make the changes. But every time somebody posts their info I save it in a word document and then once a month or so (whenever I have a free 2-3 hours!) I organize it all into the pre-existing info on page 1 and then Carly (moderator) will copy and paste it in. So don't worry, your info will get posted you just have to be a bit patient. The last time I did it was Feb 26th.

Now I'm frantic because my fiance and I are both from different places than where we currently live and your apostille certification has to take place in the state your birth certificate is from. have any of the DT brides had or not had the apostille on their birth certificate? Now my planner is saying she doesn't think we need it but the resort website says it is required and I'm panicking that I'm not going to be able to get this done before we leave on April 19th! Any advice is welcome! Thanks!
No you just need a regular birth certificate. I posted that info on page 1 (section 4). The info on the website is definitely misleading.

The reason you are getting the emails is because your settings are set so that you get an email everytime somebody adds something on this thread. If you don't want to receive the emails, change your settings (I think you go to "quick links" in the upper left corner and then "edit options" I can't try it now becuase I will lose what I am doing)

This is a thread to a forum, people will answer other peoples questions if they know what the answer is, they post it for everyone to see because that info can be helpful for other people too. But it means there is a lot of info that may not be useful to you. It's best to come visit this thread ever day or two or three and take 5-10 minutes to read what everyone has posted and if anything in useful for you, copy the info into your wedding planner book or whatever because you may have trouble finding it again later since there is so much info.

Our thread can definitely be overwhelming because we have a lot of brides posting a lot of questions and other information. That is why I created this thread and posted all the most important info on page 1. It would take forever for somebody to read the whole thread from page 1 to page 179!

The more time you spend on the forum, the more you will find out how it works.

Instead of everyone taking down decorations each time, why don't people sell their decorations if someone else's wedding is close to their own and they don't need all of it anymore? That way costs are down for both and everyone isn't lugging all the stuff back and forth before and after the wedding. Anyone interested in this? We would each have to talk to each other and see who is using a color or decoration we like. I wonder if landy and anabel would hold the stuff at the hotel if the weddings are close together.
People have asked about leaving stuff at the resort but unfortunately the coordinators said no because they have no space to store the stuff.

For the religious ceremony the text is posted right with the info, section 5.2. For the civil ceremony, the text is posted with the attachments under post #5 (towards the bottom of the page, right before "member contributions" section)

Always remember to save the attachments, otherwise it uses up points every time you open them.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
