Any suggestions
Hey Beth,

Holy! Thanks for passing along this news. At the very least, it makes me realize that chances of getting the Seaside Grill for our reception are slim! I think there must be some availability at the resort, depending on the dates you're looking for. I just went to selloffvacations.com and there are several rooms available starting on May 3rd for 7 nights (most of my guests are traveling May 2-9). So it appears as though it's the last week of April/first couple of days of May that are the issue. What are your travel days?

I better tell my last minute stragglers to book! Most of our group has booked (we're at 54 confirmed now) but I know of at least 4 more people that have been waiting for last minute deals. If they wait much longer, they might not even get a room! Oh well, it's up to them.

We dropped our invitations in the mail on Jnauary 27th and we made the RSVP date February 27th. Our date is May 1st. i don't think there is a firm guideline for destination weddings on when to send them out. Hope this helps! The great thing about a destination wedding is that you can do whatever you want! You don't have the rules of a traditional wedding.

Ladies,

I just checked out Orbitz and they have rooms available. Most of my guests are going Thursday 4/30 to Monday 5/4 and the dates were available at 30% off and a $200 resort credit. Most of our guests are booked, but there are a few more stragglers out there. Hope this helps for those who need to book.

That is the same as my guests-Thursday to Monday. Orbitz and Expedia are among the only places left that have any rooms open. The resort is totally sold out. Our friend just booked through orbitz and was shocked at how cheap it was :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
