What do you do in the morning to keep busy? I think I will be up so early that day! Hopefully my girls can entertain me!
I think that timeline sounds perfect.

I was expecting to not be able to sleep the night before the wedding, but I actually slept GREAT all week and the night before :) I got up at 7am and went to the gym for an hour and then laid by the pool and hung out with my family and friends until 11am or so, so it was great. Then I went back and showered and did my nails and then started to get ready. Don't worry about not knowing what to do with yourself the morning of your wedding, your friends and family will keep you calm and entertained :)

I can't believe it's all over for me...I better start my review today! I'm so excited for all you ladies still in the planning process - I know your days will be fabulous!!!

I am fairly new with this website. However I have also decided to go with Dreams Tulum, for February 2010, however I am having trouble obtaining pricing the two TA I have consulted with, they say its too early. I will be flying out of Toronto, Ontario. I see two girls have already had some luck securing rates and I was just wondering if it would be okay if I contact you for more information.
Another question I have is did you put your deposit down for your wedding package prior to booking your triphuh.gif I am afraid reserving a day in February and then the prices being too high for this resort. Not sure if they would be fairly flexible at moving your date after you paid the deposit. Or if anyone knows if you decided not to got with them if you would receive your deposit back for the wedding package. I only wanted to pay at the most $2,000 taxes in per person, is that realistic flight and hotel for a week?
We got a great deal flying out of Toronto for our April wedding. $1405 taxes in for a garden view room. We booked last June and are flying Sunwing. If you're interested I can send you our TA info.

silly questions but will they take the chairs from the ceremony and set them up at the reception with no additional charge, or would we have to pay for the set up fee again?

Also, just curious what ppl have done for centerpieces. I don't really want to pay $70 for the centerpieces from the resort and was thinking about brining some cylinder vases of different sizes and just put some rose petals and a floating candle in them but that's a lot to lug...any suggestions?

I think its a personal choice, lugging stuff down with you or paying for flower centerpieces...personally, i paid $65 for flower centerpieces and votive candles for our tables and looking back it wasn't really worth it (at least in comparison to what $65 would have gotten us in centerpieces in the states), but i liked them and it looked nice, so whatever. lugging our own stuff down wasn't even an option in the end because it would've been too much for us since we already had 5 huge pieces of luggage!!

Hi Ladies! I'm new to the forum, and am getting married at Dreams March 26th, 2009. The reviews have been really helpful with planning. A question I do still have is what size birth certificate did they require from Canadian brides? I hear differing opinions between credit card size and the long form birth certificate.

Welcome to the forum!

Steph (Sunbride) correct me if I'm wrong but you didn't even need your B.C. She just used her Passport. Just remember that you need to be in Mexico, 4 full days before your wedding date (same goes for your witnesses).

Some of the other Mexican resorts require a lot of documentation and what not but thankfully not DT! PHEW!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
