The new Dreams Tulum thread! (Post all DT Qs&As here)

Recommended Posts

Hey everyone!

So it looks like I will not be able to do a site visit to DT. The last time I was there was in 2006 before they expanded the hotel. I think I really just wanted to go back before my wedding for piece of mind and to make sure the food was still good.

For the brides to be, please keep the reviews coming. It will be super helpful to me and I'm sure to other brides that will not be able to make it down to DT beofre their weddings.

thanks everyone and happy new year!

Thanks! I wish we would have thought to plan meeting up for a drink as well. Now I'm wondering if I saw you too (you wedding was my last night at DT)- you must post pics!!

I know I'm working on my review and getting my pics organized. It was more of an undertaking than I had imagined it would be. I hope to have everything done by the end of the week with a new post to the review and planning threads. I will say to all the ladies... don't worry at all about the lack of contact with the wc's months prior to your date. They work their little buts off when you get there!!!

Hey Lauren! I know, isn't it crazy that we are leaving in less than two weeks!!!

That would be cool for the ladies that are going to be there at the same to get together for a drink. I'm in!!

We are staying until the 27th.

Any one else in?

I know BC Bride2be is getting married the day before me...maybe some of us girls can meet up for a margarita sometime. Anyone in? I'll be there from the 20th to 30th.

Hi Lindz -

I will try to attach the packet that we sent out with our Save The Dates. You can easily modify it to be a Welcome Packet by removing the information about travel and inserting information about activities and stuff that the hotel offers. We just had them printed at Kinko's into booklets and they came out great! I hope this helps! (We also had a cover page with a picture of Tulum on it, but I can't find that document.)

Ok, so the file was to big. I will go ahead and PM it to you. If anyone else is in the planning phase and wants to see what I put together to go out with Save The Dates (but easily modified to be a Welcome Packet) just let me know and I will PM it to you as well! Hope you find it helpful!

My newsletter / welcome booklet is posted on page 1, in the member contributions section. I have uploaded it to a file sharing website (it was too big to ad as an attachment here) and then you can just go to that site to download it (rather than me always having to email it to people).

Mixie, maybe you can do the same? The site I used it super easy to use (go check out my newsletter to see) Then I could add it to the member contribution section on page 1 and others can easily get it to use it.

Great, thanks mixie! I'll have it added to the list of changes being done in the next week or so.

The bride list was updated on Monday so if you don't see your name and date there post it here to be added! Jerzygirl is the only one that should be missing as I received your info after the changes were done. The detailed bride list has not yet been updated.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
