the one that I saw was right next to the relax pool on the beach. When I was talking to Anabel I had suggested that we could put DJ mannia in there so maybe there is some sort of electricity in there.

I can not believe how time has FLOWN by!

But look who is talking because you only have 2 months and 20 days!!

By the way when I was talking to Anabel she mentioned that you could extend the party until 11:00 pm on the beach.

Also Amy she mentioned we could do a tequila tasting so maybe you started a new trend :)

Hi Ladies,

I'm just wondering about the cost of sound system rental and set-up. I sent Landy an email asking about the price as we are having everything on the beach (ceremony and reception). This is the email I sent and the one I received back:

Hi Landy,

Thank you for the quick response. I just need something clarified; are we required to pay $150+$240 ($390 total) for music equipment set up for the ceremony and the reception? Wouldnâ€t the music already be set up for the ceremony and can just be moved to the cocktail and reception location (our reception is on the beach)? Iâ€m just wondering what the extra cost is for?

Dear Teesha:

In relation with the equipment for ceremony this is just for play during the 30 minutes ceremony and is the service and the equipment rent it.

For rent the equipment for the 3 hours reception the price I give to you is not per hour it is for the reception event and the price is extra 240 usd, they would set it up and leave it ready for you play in the reception.

Doesn't this seem very expensive just for sound system set-uphuh.gif? We were planning on playing music off our iPod and don't want to pay almost $400. If anyone could help me clarify this, it would be really helpful.

Thanks!

I wouldn't worry about the upgrades until you get down there. To be honest, the whole checking in process was the only thing we had problems with while we were down there. I was a bit disappointed at the organization of their front desk.

Also, the kept telling my guests they could pay a $30.00 or $60.00 fee to upgrade to a room, some did #30 some did $60 & the ones that paid more seemed to get a worse room than those that paid the $30, & then others they told they were getting "the honeymoon suite" which seem to be their way of suckering people in bc then they really just ended up in the same room as others that didn't pay any upgrade at all. Once we found all that out, we tried to complain or have people moved or get their upgrade fee back, but it wasn't worth all the confusion, etc. it caused. They didn't do anything to resolve the situation & luckily our group just let it go & stayed in the rooms they were assigned.

Basically, i'd wait & see what you can work out once your there. Alot of our guests just paid for basic rooms & some were put in the old area & some on the new dreams side though they paid the same thing.

Thanks! Unfortunately, I do not remember the photographer's name- he just showed up at my room about 5 minutes before I was about to walk to the ceremony (I'm not sure if you can request a specific person before hand). I was so nervous at that point I don't even remember if he introduced himself. I think the 50 pics we ended up choosing are pretty decent...but just beware that the other 250 pics he took were horrible. As long as you don't mind only having 50 pics, it is a great way to save thousands of dollars! Good luck!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
