I read on here somewhere that Lisette was now at DPA or DC. Did they switch? What happened to Landy is she still going to be our coordinator?

Anyway I would love for you to ask about locations for the ceremony. I really would like it on the beach, but I think I'm going to feel a bit awkward having it with people tanning in chairs right next to my wedding. Would you please ask:

1) if we are able to move the arbor/gazebo a little farther down the beach where everyone says it is secluded?
2) who performs symbolic weddings. Is it still a minister or is it her?
3) how much the photographer charges for extra time? And if you are able would you look at some of his work and tell me what you think?
4) how much are the fire dancers?
5) let me know what you think of the banquet center and the ballrooms?
6) If we can completely design our own ceremony entirely (i.e. the words that are said by the minister and the order)

Thank you so much. By the way what are your colors and what are you doing for centerpieces?
Alright! I wrote all the questions down :)
I am super excited about going down there to scope it out and see what the deal is etc. I remember someone on here talking about how they had the buffet even though they didnt have 50 people-I want to see if we can do that also.
As far as my centerpieces go, I haven;t really decided-I got a ton of votive candles at Ikea a few weeks ago and was thinking if we could do long tables I would want flowers in the middle with the candles.
I really like blue and tan (ocean and the sand)

Hi ladies! I was wondering are you going to be doing any shopping outside of the resort? I was reading that PDC's 5th Ave. is about 45 minutes away from DT. If you are going to do any shopping there are you going to rent a car, taxi, or take a shuttle? I really do like this resort but I'm having a tough time deciding if I want to stay here. I know it's farther away which can be good or bad. I like that it is secluded but how secluded is it? Also, I was reading SunBrides's review on DT and mentioned that the beach was terrible. I love the beach...is it really that bad?

I see that you can get married in the chapel or on the beach...is there a charge to have the ceremony on the beach since they don't have a gazebo? Maybe I missed this conversation but is it true that you can use an outside photographer? I remember hearing earlier this year that Dreams wasn't allowing outside photographers. Two more questions I promise. Are the in-house photographers any good? and is it true that DT offers more thand DPA? Thanks for your help :)

This may have been answered already....tried reading through all the pages, but started going cross eyed! :) We don't want to have our wedding at Dreams, but some (or all) of our guests may stay there. Here goes:

1. Is there a Dreams travel agent that can get a discount on rooms? If so, can you list contact info?

2. Is there any sort of discount for booking a certain number of rooms? If so, how many rooms do you have to book?

3. How far is Dreams from Ana Y Jose?

4. Do non Dreams guests have to pay to spend the day there?

5. Does Dreams have meal options that don't include liquor (several of my guests are sober alcoholics)?

6. Does Dreams have meal options for non guests?

7. Do the prices listed on the website for room rates include food?

8. I know this is in the wrong thread, but if anybody knows if Any Y Jose has anything child care related, please let me know.

Thanks!

Dreams is all inclusive so everything is included-drinks, food etc. If your guests are not staying at DT they will need to purchase day passes which is includes everything. for the room block you need to work with the resort and I think it is 10 rooms.

Yes you can definitely get dahlias through their florist. I have some fushia ones in the bouquet I got (which I used as a centerpiece, although I asked for a normal tied bouquet because I was thinking of maybe using it if I liked it better than my (a company) one). I would think they have them in any color, I think it's one of their more popular flowers.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
