There is also Wal-Mart and Sam's Club.

Oh, and in regards to your question about private events if there is full capacity at resort...there is always the ballroom and receptions on the beach.
Thanks so much... I'll plan on persuading the driver to stop on the way from the airport!

Has anyone gotten a response from Landy regarding this option?
Is it possible to get a sound system wired to the hut, so that we may play music during our dinner? and what about lighting? is there lighting in the hut? or will that need to wired to the hut as wellhuh.gif
I think you'll have to wait for an answer from Landy or Lizette on this one. This seems to be a new option, and an unofficial one since it's not in the wedding guide. Probably just some bride asked for it as a special request and now there will be tons of brides copying the idea (like my gazebo set-up and aisle flowers!). Hopefully they get back to you soon with more information about this.

When Seahagamy asked (see post Post 82 of this thread, all she was told was that this is an option for the silver or gold dinner, which sounds like it's free as long as you have silver or gold (would be worth confirming the "free" part). She is trying to find out what the charge would be for this option with the free package since that's what she's using. You can see in the picture that the hut is sufficient lit so they obviously have something in place (either wired lighting or just lanterns) but as for the music, it's such a small space that you wouldn't need an entire sound system, I agree with rachelannmartin that a laptop or ipod dock (which they supply in the rooms, just bring your own batteries) would work best.

Hopefully somebody finds out more info about this option soon.

neen, you're too generous! We'll figure it out. I just get panicked about things everyonce in awhile. Our reception in going to be at El Patio. I'm sure it will all come together! Do you know if we're the only people getting married on the 17th? I should book our cocktail hour if there is another wedding!

Sunbride-you are the all knowing one when it comes to the weddings at DT-can you have your reception at El Patio outside with a DJ? I assumed that you couldnt unless you had El Patio for a private function and close it for other guests

I know you directed your question to Sunbride, but since I know the answer...
if you want a DJ at El Patio (or SG), you have to pay the $750 private event fee...then you have the whole place to yourself so your DJ can't disturb other diners

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
