The new Dreams Tulum thread! (Post all DT Qs&As here)

I got the CI-006 centerpieces. They were small. I will try to attach a photo for reference.

Instead of the bouquets, we did wrist corsages. I liked them, but I am not very picky about flowers.

Our reception was at the dolphin pool, mainly because I wanted to have paper lanterns and there is nowhere to hang them at the rectangular pool, but I did see one reception at the rectangular pool during my stay and it looked very nice. They had some luminaries and, I believe, air star balloons. The pool itself is lit up, and there are some spotlights around it, but if your reception is at either of the pools or on the beach, IMHO, it is a very good idea to get some extra lighting.

I missed the entire cocktail hour because we were taking pictures then, but ours was on the lobby terrace. I didn't even realize there were other options. The feedback I got was that it was nice but kind of a far walk from our ceremony site (beach) and the reception (dolphin pool).

I see you have blue table cloths , how much extra did that cost?

Thank you

Hi,

I am getting married at Dreams Tulum on April 20, 2015. I would appreciate any and all pictures, guides, tips etc that people have to offer. My theme is diamonds, sapphires, and blue butterflies. I picked the dolphin terrace for the reception but now I may want the beach. Anyone who has had either I would appreciate hearing from. I'm concerned about sand in the food and cake if on the beach. We are purchasing the ultimate package and want to swap things out. Wondering if anyone has done this and wether they charged extra. Ie will they trade centrepieces that are included for extra bouquets?? I have centrepieces I am making. Any info will be great please email me at catsherred@hotmail.com

we will be reading your threads for sure....we are looking at April 2016....beach wedding/recpetion

I will def be doing the Ultimate as it has everything im looking for.

I think we will do Dj and lights on trees

the rest, im going package....

it gets dark on the beach, so having tons of "stuff" on the chairs and tables seem not important and will not be seen once sun goes down anyways (im thinking)

fun planning!

Kim

We just got back from our site visit to Dreams Tulum and booked for April 15, 2016.  We got to see 2 beach weddings while we were there.  amazing

If you have a chance to visit, I highly recommend.  If you cannot...do not panic..the resort is great and the wedding coordinators are amazing and know what they are doing.

All your questions and planning will come together once you check in 3 days prior to your wedding.

Hi ladies!

My date is coming up and I am getting a bit panicky...4 more months to go! Patiently waiting for the package to come...

Question - did anyone get their hands on the "useful Spanish phrases" for their Welcome Bags? If anyone has that list - would you please send it my way! The address is at natgurova (@) gmail.com

Thank you ladies!!!

Hi all!

I got a week left before I fly out, and it seems like the thread slowly died out...Hopefully you are finding all of your answers through the coordinators, meanwhile, I am bugging out =)

Seven days left to cross off 25 items on my to do list...still did not find a song for the first song.. AAAaaaa!

Will report back when I get home, crossing fingers for everything to go well (especially the weather!)

Wish me luck!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
