Hey Ladies, I was wondering if anyone is getting married within a day or two of us (we are getting married on 12/4)... maybe we can share decorations, etc.  Maybe we could even share my photographer (I am trying to get one from home to come with us).  Anyway, would love to share and compare!!

Thanks!!

Hi!  I am getting married at Dreams Tulum on May 25, 2013.  I have booked the Ultimate package but am debating on the Love package so that I can spend a little more on the photographer.  Does anyone have any suggestions for a DJ?  I don't want to break the back, but am really worried about the sound, especially at the reception.

Thanks!

Would anyone know of threads with reception idea regarding tables? I searched it but nothing really came up.

Hey!

I am also getting married in Feb 2013 at DT. I went with the noon time as well. My thoughts were I was going to be so nervous and excited I will be up early anyways and would be nice to be the first wedding of the day. Like you said it leaves plenty of time to relax and get ready for the evening party. Just hope the guests do not get to drunk during the day! Haha. Congrats!

Hello!

What a great site! I have been going through it for hours tonight.

I am booked at DT for a Feb.1st 2013 wedding. Sent out invites to about 30 people and hoping for about 20 to actually come. Booked with selloffvacations and will be flying with sunwing. We are in Toronto but have people coming from Vancouver and Calgary. Sadly the west coast people have to arrive a day before. The offer we got was with every 5 rooms booked the 6th is free. That is based on double occupancy.

Seeing all the posts have gotten me really excited and have given me so many great ideas! Thanks so much to all you past brides for all the posts. Look forward to chatting more on here with past and future brides.

A question I do have is when doing the legal/civil ceremony are you able to say your own vows or add your own readings or prayer? We are looking to have a spiritual side to our ceremony but my mother read somewhere with the judge and civil ceremony you can not add anything. Any help would be great! Thanks

hey mandy,

we hired DJ doremixx for our wedding.  Not too bad, especially after looking at what the hotel charges just to rent a dance floor and speakers.  We have heard great things about him, and are super excited.  If you have any questions PM me

Hello! I can't remember and can't find the post, but I thought a few of you were getting married the last week in November and were talking about sharing decorations...I am getting married Dec 4, arriving Nov 30.  I was wondering if you would be willing to let me in on any of that.  I would love to share costs if there is some stuff that I could reuse!

And second, I found a great website that selling the tall cylinder vases that everyone is always looking for and they are CHEAP.  and they have them in every size, height, width, you could want!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
