The new Dreams Tulum thread! (Post all DT Qs&As here)

The steak was actually pretty good when we were there, and I and my husband are pretty picky about steak, everyone loved the whole meal, don't go for the creme brulee, I am also in LOVE with creme brulee and ordered it one day at dinner and I was so excited to see it on the menu and it wasn't creme brulee at all, it had no flavor and no crust on top either, I wouldn't have changed it at all, I thought the steak was a good choice, not everyone likes seafood so you end up with complainers, the vegetables were nice and different than your typical salad, especially caesar and the dessert was fine, most people liked it actually, for me personally the sweeter the dessert the better :) which is probably why I was dissapointed. Don't stress about anything its all going to be awesome, they are unbelievably organized when you get there and the day of the wedding! As for the hair, I loved the way mine turned out, it was exactly like the picture I showed BUT i really had to direct the girl and remind her of what I wanted, with every piece she pulled back I was making sure it was going to look how Iwanted, if I said nothing it would have been bad, there is an older 50ish woman working in the spa, several people had her and the hair was a mess and her attitude was terrible too, she wouldn't listen to anyone. Not sure my girls name but she was younger and spoke no english, she was sweet.

Thank you so much Wendy!!!

I think I am just going to get the same menu as you! hahaha I was thinking about upgrading to the gold menu so we could have the bruschetta, aspargus salad and Mignon and shrimps(lol) because I generally do not like flank steak but if the flank steak was good then maybe I wont! It would save me a lot of money seeing as we have so many attending.

LauraAsh- I looked into the buffet before picking a resort and dreams said that we could choose either a plated service or buffet. I generally HATE buffet!!! So we are getting plated service.

Hi fellow brides!  I'm getting in married at a nearby resort April 6th, but I'm hoping to find another bride getting married April 4th, 7th, or 8th who still needs a photographer.  I'm planning on bringing Sara Gray but she said that if I can find another wedding for her to shoot while she's in Mexico then she'll give us both a great deal.  PM me if you want more details!  http://www.saragrayphotography.com/ She's been featured on some of my favorite blogs...style me pretty, wedding chicks, grey likes weddings, etc

Hey ladies, I am at the resort and it's gorgeous! Met with Anabel this morning, and for all those people worrying - don't. She had everything super organized. Also, they just put in 8-10 palm trees at the ceremony and reception site on the beach behind the Seaside Grill, and it looks much nicer, none barren like it did before. 3 days to go!

Hi girls I have just got back from our amazing wedding at Dreams and do not worry about anything at all. The whole day was perfect - the beach is stunning, the wedding coordinators super organised, and the food and service top notch. It really was the most amazing day. Have a look at the link below for some of my professional wedding pics. I really did have the best day.

I know how much I stressed about how it would be on the day and all the little details so if anyone has any questions I would be happy to answer them.

I will write and post my full review at some point this weekend but until then.... xxx

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
