This question is for past DT brides.

Did you get your flowers with the wedding packages? If so, were you happy? Did you upgrade any of the bouquets? I want to get a real bouquet for me but am hoping to add a few flowers to it. What were your experiences with the florist? Were they flexible at all? I am now thinking of real touch bouquets for my BM and possibly a backup one for me that I can use when we renew our vows in the church back at home.

Thoughts, suggestions?

Thanks!

They have small rags/towels in the bathroom. Ours were nicely rolled up in a basket with the hotels shampoo, soap and lotion.

Hey I just got on here today and realized that link didn't work. Here is a link to the album I made on facebook.

http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10100217988850562.2511999.17102157&l=5240cc2249&type=1 There aren't many things I would change, I loved the beach for the reception and ceremony.  DJ Doremixx made the reception the best I've ever been to.  I would definitely recommend, worth every penny.  I arrived with my guests, I might have arrived a day earlier to get all the meetings out of the way and to put my OOT bags together.  I missed a lot of hanging out with my friends due to these things.  I loved del Sol photography, I look at my wedding picks almost every day still haha!  I had the ultimate wedding package, and the girl that did my "free" hair and makeup was FABULOUS!  I was VERY nervous, but both looked the best they ever have!  I added some mascara and eyeliner to my makeup but was VERY happy.  My bouquet was the one that came with the package and I paid for the bridesmaids flowers.  I didn't do an outside florist and was pretty happy with the results.

I am freaking out girls. I just read bunch of reviews on trip advisor about beach at Dreams Tulum. They all say that it is very rocky. All my guests love to swim in the ocean and not the pool. We never swim in the pool. Please tell me that its not as bad as they say it is :(.

Hi Ladies,

This question is for past brides. We are now planning on changing our symbolic ceremony to a legal ceremony as we don't want to get married here before or after as both of our families can only make it to the wedding in Mexico...fiance's family are all in Scotland.

If you did the legal ceremony in Mexico at DT, do you mind sharing our review or thoughts? I know there are a few extra costs, but we think it is less of a hassle having a second ceremony back home.

Thanks!

So I messaged my wedding coordinator today to ask about floating lanterns in the dolphin pool durring the the reception, her response was that it was allowed, and that they would just have to set them up after 8pm when the pool is closed......

My reception starts at 6:30, so does this mean there may be people in the pool durring my reception?!?!?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
