Yes my spa appointments are booked but it took forever! I contacted my WC first then she forwarded it to me, I sent her the details of what she needed but never heard back and never heard back.  So then when all else fails I always just use the mail email for the resort and tell them what I'm trying to do and that I haven't heard a response.  It always gets me the response I need because then someone else (usually their boss) is hounding them.  Then I finally get my response and finally got my confirmation.  So if you don't get a response on things in a timely manner use the main resort email....works like a charm.

Just got back from our wedding on Thurs at Dreams Tulum, it was wonderful, we had our wedding on the beach and our reception at the seaside grill. It was realllllly windy the whole week (hot sunny weather though) so we were really happy to have the seaside grill, it made it feel really private and had an outdoor feel anyways because basically the seaside grill is outdoors, the great thing was it had the wind blinds for protection from the wind and added privacy. It felt just like having a dance reception at home, we rented music and partied late, the bartenders and servers ended up dancing and running around with shots for everyone, we all had a great time! Both the dolphin and relax pools would have been really windy locations. I'll post a review with pictures (we brought a photographer from Toronto) soon but if anyone has questions please ask. Keep this in mind, if you are there for one week only, it is a wedding not a vacation, we hardly had time to sit down during the day once all week, looking forward to planning our honeymoon!

What day was your wedding?  We were there March 24 - Apr 1 and our wedding was on Monday March 28th.  If your wedding is the one I am thinking of, it was absolutely beautiful!  Well all of the weddings we saw were beautiful, but I think I know which one yours was.  Our Room was in the building right behind Sea Side grill and one of our balconies faced the wedding location on the beach, where ours was, and I remember being on the balcony the one day, getting ready to go to Tulum, when a wedding was starting, I wanted to watch, but I felt that I shouldn't be watching someone's wedding like that, so we went to our other balcony, but I do believe I saw you coming from the building to take your place for the ceremony, and  I said to my husband right away that you looked absolutely wonderful!  Your dress is incredible.  I can't wait to read your review and to see what you thought about the experience.  I am trying to get mine done, hopefully soon!

Hey I used this email address and always got a timely response.

How much time is everyone else giving themselves at the spa?  I'm worried I'm rushing things.

24 days till we leave!!!!!

I too never had a problem with that email.  Our wedding was at 2 PM, I made my appointments for 10 am and was back in my room by 12:30, I had my hair, make up and nails done.  For me, it was plenty of time!

i had the SAME issue with the spa (and to be honest it was really freaking me out) i had sent 3 emails within a 2 week timeframe with no response- so i located the Dreams Tulum page on Facebook, and this one guy who works at the hotel (not sure what his position is) his name is Luis, i PM'd him and told him what i wanted, and i received an email within an hour!

my hair and makeup was one thing i was worried about... my bigger issue right now is that MY DRESS IS NOT DONE!!! i am freaking out!!!

22 days until we leave!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
