We bought cups (which we still have a ton of because the minimum amount is usually 50!)... and I feel they were a great personalized item... but no one used them at all at the resort. DT doesn't have the issue of using tiny plastic cups like some of the other resorts... they use larger cups so that you don't have to keep running back to the bar. They were a good souvenir of the wedding, but not used at the resort... hope this helps!

Are there any other Brides for May 19th, 2010? I will be bringing my own decorations and pay for the extra luggage, I don't trust customs to clear on time. I am still undecided if i should have my reception indoors at the ballroom or at the relax pool. I am starting to feel stressed about planning, but mostly for the reception back at home. I think with the help of the planners at Dreams things will go smoothly.

BRIDE LIST (DETAILED)

*note, not all brides are on this list (past brides are only on if they write a review and provide me the info after the wedding, upcoming brides are only on if they provide me their info) the above short list of brides has all BDW Dreams Tulum brides

This list will help other brides in determining who is having some of the same elements as them and they can contact you for questions or read your review for more info on particular aspects.

If you post your info in the thread, Sunbride will add it to the list (but please be patient, it is only updated more or less once a month as it takes a lot of time and a moderator needs to get involved to do it)

Hi Michele,

You at the closest to my date i have seen on the forum. I am starting to read all the reviews which are unreal and have helped a lot. I am still undecided for a few things such as my reception location and whether or not i will to "OOT bags" for my guests upon arrival. Are you planning a reception back home for the guests who won't make it? My Fiance and I are from opposite sides of Canada so I am planning the reception at my parents home and also one at his parents cabin. The additional receptions are more difficult to plan than the actual wedding itself.

Hope your planning is going well,

Amy

Hi: My fiance and I just returned from our site visit and have confirmed a date (and will be posting my details next)! We are so excited that we found the perfect place. I was at first a little worried about the distance from CUN and it took us 1.5 hrs ride instead of 2 hrs so that was great. Our driver from Dreamsday was great (Marc Anthony) so it made it fly by too.

We decided to have the ceremony in the chapel. I've been searching and searching for photos of wedding ceremonies in the chapel with no success. Can past brides please PM me with photos for inspiration? (pretty please?) We haven't quite decided on reception dinner yet - we are thinking the wine cellar (indoors) and we are only expecting around 20-25 ppl but I don't know where and how we could have our first dance! Any suggestions?

Hi Girls!

My wedding is scheduled for May, 25, 2010. I am wondering if anyone would want to sell me their decorations when you're done with them. I would love some lanterns and maybe some chair sashes, but may be interestd in other things as well. I'm thinking about bring my own stuff, but I have 3 little kiddos and luggage will already be an issue for us so I thought if I could find someone willing to sell me their stuff at the resort it would be much easier! The colors I'd love to use are, red, Aqua or turquise, and orange. Thanks girls!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
