Please do write your review. I would love to get the $20 menu somehow, but they're telling me I can't and it's killing my budget!! I'd love to hear your story!
Thanks!

Does anyone have thoughts on the dolphin pool for a 5pm wedding? I'm worried kids will still be out when we have our reception!! Our ceremony is on the beach (on the side towards the ruins) and the relax terrace is on the other side of the resort..so the dolphin pool seems like it would be best to keep everything together..but I'm concerened about the guests.

Would it be worth it to set it up at the adult section where it would be more quiet?!

I really appreciate your feedback! It is so tough trying to imagine how these things would work!!

BRIDE LIST (DETAILED)

*note, not all brides are on this list (past brides are only on if they write a review and provide me the info after the wedding, upcoming brides are only on if they provide me their info) the above short list of brides has all BDW Dreams Tulum brides

This list will help other brides in determining who is having some of the same elements as them and they can contact you for questions or read your review for more info on particular aspects.

If you post your info in the thread, Sunbride will add it to the list (but please be patient, it is only updated more or less once a month as it takes a lot of time and a moderator needs to get involved to do it)

Sheila

Hi there. Congratualtions!!! We haven't chosen a dj yet, but the more we think about it, the better it sounds. Having someone lead the flow of the night instead of having to worry over my ipod, etc seems like a great thing. i used to work in radio on the events staff, therefore i tend to micro-manage these things and the ipod/speaker/microphone setup seems like a stresser for me...so if i can swing it $$wise, then we are going with a dj.

jmb0902 did a great wedding review and she used dj. doremixx...and got an awesome rate for four hours with props...we are thinking about him based on her review.

we only did a quick site tour of dt when we were down there...but we had visited once before and the great thing is that there are lots of areas to have your ceremony and reception that still feel private, but are not miles apart like other resorts. i'm starting to think that I would like to have my reception near the relax pool, just adding my own lights. we are expecting appx 40 guests and when on my site tour i was told that the max there is 30-35...so we reserved the dolphin pool. i guess i'll ask again. either way, i'm really excited to have my wedding there...sept. 25th cannot come soon enough.

good luck with everything!

tt

I do like the timing of it all though because I figure the ceremony will be from 6-6:30, cocktail hour from 6:30-7:30 and then reception from 7:30-10:30. I was told the receptions were only 3 hours and that they had to end by 10:30. I know it will all be crammed in there, I just didn't want there to be a lulll in between anything.
Anyway, are you bringing decor with you? I am so back and forth with this.
Cheri,
Sorry its been a while since i responded. Ive been so busy and stressed.
But Yeah i am taking decor with me. I am actually planning on bringing everything with me. I was reading that some past brides tried sending stuff to the Resort but didnt clear customs.
I have spoke with past brides that said they took some candy and as long as they had reciepts there were able to take the items.
Also Once you land in Cancun there is a Wal*Mart so that if you forget anything you could go there!! i think from the resort it's a 2hour ride. Im not sure but thats also an Option.
Well I hope you have a Great week...

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
