Hi all,

I ran out of time to send 'std' anouncements, and I was originally going to put our wedding website on those. Now I'm getting ready to just send out the invitations and I'm wondering if it is okay to put our website in with our invitation, and if so...where?!! I was thinking on the RSVP card? Or just add another card with the invitation? I'm not sure it would look right to put it on the invite itself!

I'm open to any suggestions!! Thanks in advance!

P.s. just did a site visit and its gorgeous, much bigger than I ever imagined. I almost went with Riviera Cancun...but no comparison. This place has it all :)

Hi - I did this same thing, didn't send out STDs but rather just sent invites. I included my wedding website on another card, similar to the rsvp card, that just said...

For more information on our wedding, please visit our wedding website: ..........

I jazzed the card up to match my invites and rsvps and I think they turned out great! Hope this helps!

Hi girls!

Are there any brides out there that do not plan on bringing decorations?? I am so torn. I honestly wasn't planning on bringing anything from the get-go, but now I'm seeing all these reviews and it seems as if most bring stuff with them (i.e. lanterns, candles, chair sashes, table runners, etc.) I don't want everything to be dull, I was just hoping the natural surroundings would be enough. Any thoughtshuh.gif

@Cheri- I'm not bringing much, I have a few glass lanterns to be used as table centerpieces, and some colorful favor boxes that my aunt made for me (they fold flat... easy to pack! we'll put candy in them or something). I don't think your wedding will be lacking if you keep the decor basic, the natural environment is so beautiful that not much else is needed. I think the brides who've added personal touches with their decor choices have created really lovely and creative aesthetics, but it's not a requirement for a beautiful wedding. I mean, you're on the beach in Mexico :)

Cheri,

You are right, the natural surroundings are definitely enough. I did not add any additional decorations such as lanterns, chair sashes, table runners, etc. I was already taking enough stuff with me and to be honest one reason I wanted a destination wedding was so I didn't have to do all that stuff! Our backdrop is the ocean. It is amazing! I did make personalized luggage tags for each of my guests that served as the favor. If you get there and decided you want to add something they have sashes you can rent and flowers you can use for center pieces. BUT it is absolutely not necessary. What I love about weddings these days is that you can do whatever you want! It will be beautiful any way you do it.

Good luck to you!

Katie

Cheri, i am bringing down a few things for decor (chair sashes, tulle for the canopy and some candles) My main reason for bring these things down is money. I refuse to pay $6per candle when I just bought a dozen glass votives for the same amount here.

If you decide to keep the basic set up DT provides it will still be beautiful!! Just do what makes you happy :) And like Katie said, if you get to the resort and you decide you want to add more decorations, the WC will be able to handle that for you.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
