Excellence Riviera Cancun Brides!

Recommended Posts

Congrats Karina0512! We're planning on doing the symbolic wedding to avoid the whole blood tests and translation thing. A marriage certificate isn't listed under required documents so I'm assuming we don't need it. I wonder if anyone on here has met or had their wedding with Noemi. She seems really sweet!

Hi girls! Just wanted to see how planning was going for all the ERC brides. I still don't have much besides a verbal wedding date confirmation from Noemi, but I bought my dress and have some centerpiece and flower ideas! elefant.gif How about the rest of you, any updates?

Our wedding is far away so we really can't plan much. All we have is location, colors and favors, lol.

Does the ERC have a new WC? Noemi hasn't emailed me back in about 2 months, and I get something from someone else the last two timeshuh.gif It seems like they change WC's a lot there!

Has anyone gotten anything as far as flower choices and such sent to them? I asked for these and I only get pricing.

I am getting married at Excellence Playa Mujeres but since there are no threads on this resort, I hope you do not mind that I join you ladies since the options and policies are identical.

I booked the wedding through the WC at EMP - Nayeli. There was no deposit ($) required, only a reservation number for my hotel room at the resort.

I am opting for a legal ceremony because I did not like the idea of having to choose when my wedding anniversary should be between my legal date and my symbolic date. I had no trouble getting the documentation together to date and since we have so much time to plan, I knew the hoop jumping for the legal ceremony wouldn't be an issue. I can certainly understand why many choose to do the legal thing in the states though.

Endlesslove, I emailed ERC after reading your post and Veronica wrote back introducing herself as the new WC. I haven't gotten any information other than pricing either but I really want to see cake and flower options!

Jennifer, have you gotten any information about flowers, cakes, etc from EPM? Maybe the options are the same/similar at the two resorts. I know what you mean about the anniversary thing. FI and I decided that our legal day is just going to be thought of as paperwork and our actual wedding at ERC is going to be our REAL wedding. I'll be more comfortable and relaxed if all the legal stuff is done before we leave however I tend to be a worry wart. cheesy.gif

I haven't recieved anything from Veronica in over two weeks since I last emailed her. At least the last WC was quick with responding. I asked if there was anything she could mail to me so I have something in print, and she never responded to that just sent me a printable brochure.

We're also doing the symbolic ceremony. Too many steps for the legal in my opinion and if we ever needed a copy of our mariage license it would have to be done through Mexico. Too much hassle if that ever happens if you ask me. Plus the whole blood test- pay in cash to the doctor just strikes me as shady.

Hi, I am also getting married at Excellence Riviera Cancun on 6/27/09. I am so happy to see other people getting married here. I did have a chance to go there for a site visit. The place is beautiful. The service and food were great too. And of course the drinks!!! I did meet with Neomi, she was very sweet. They did not require a deposit, but you have to pay in full when you get there. They ask that you come three days in advance before your wedding. I am doing the symbolic ceremony and can only get there two days ahead of time and she is okay with that.

As far as the pictures go I think that I received the same ones that everyone is talking about. After speaking with a bride there, she said that they are pretty flexible about making whatever you want. So the best thing to do is send them a picture of what you want.

Let me know if you have any other questions!

Thanks,

Jen

It is All-Inclusive so I don't see a problem with an open bar. We're having the Gold Package which we're paying for the sit down reception, everything is included.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
