Lahaina Safeway

ok, so here's our predicament. We were planning on stopping at the costco after we land to pick up snacks & waters & such for the OOT bags. But we've discovered that the Maui Onion Festival will be going on the day we arrive (it's usually 2 days, but is only 1 day this year) & since it only runs until 8pm, we're now going to head straight to the hotel & to Whaler's Village(since Costco + Saturday = long waits & parking hell). So, we know it's going to be more expensive, but we're now going to need to get our snacks & stuff near Lahaina at either an ABC Store or Safeway. Has anyone been to that Safeway? Just wondering if they have a decent selection of snack size treats.

Thanks!

Hmmm, I don't remember if they sold cases, but I am sure they do. I do remember that it was one of the biggest ABC stores I have been to. It had lots of snacks, liquor and cool knick knacks. I found the cutest hello kitty cell phone charms for my friends...

Don't worry. I was at the Safeway in Maui last year. The Safeway you are talking about is just like any other supermarkets in the States. When you are in Lahaina - you actually have 2 supermarkets to choose from.

Safeway or Foodland (located across the street from McDonald's) at the Lahaina Center. Their prices are very reasonable and you can get purchase (case) water, big bags of snacks, beer, even sushi and sandwiches. It is not worth driving all the way to Costco when there are 2 markets in Lahaina already.

*Be sure to get one of those discount card at the customer service desk before checkout. See link below.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
