We just started Nixon on a raw diet yesterday. We're really optimistic about it, so I'll keep you guys posted if it works out for us (he has horrific allergies and we're hoping this is going to help...plus it's organic so apparently it's much better for dogs all around).

Fingers crossed!

Eukanuba Large Breed Senior. Even though Kozmo is 26 lbs and Newman is 66 lbs and both are 4 years old(yes they are named after Senfield). Kozmo's allergy specialist recommended that for both of my dogs. Eukanuba puts one of the ingredients from toothpaste in their food so it suppose to be good for the teeth. Plus the senior food is a better protein.

Kozmo will eat anything but Newman is the PICKIEST eater and both of them like the food.

There are a lot of people with dogs with allergies.

You can also try Blue Buffalo...That is good for them and they also may like it :-) Good luck

The raw food - Beef has totally improved his allergies! We tried chicken a couple of weeks ago and had to return it because his itches went craaazy again. But I think the Beef one is working out really well. Plus his coat is WAY shinier. I totally recommend it!

What is in a raw diet? Is it safe to switch back and forth from kibble to raw? I like the idea of preparing home food so to speak, but also like the convenience of having kibble around too.
