Hello PV Bride and Groom

Recommended Posts

Hola! I'm Ylda and my HTB is John. We are planning our wedding in PV February 28, 2009. He proposed June 14th exactly two years from the day we met for the very first time. The proposal was the most thoughtful and romantic experience and completely unexpected from him---candles and memories of our last two years. It was great!

The biggest challenge so far has been figuring who can get us the best rates for all-inclusive, i.e., a travel agent or the the hotel. And do I even need a wedding coordinator if the hotel/resort has one?

Well, I've been reading a lot of the threads and so far this site has been helpful.

In the last few weeks, we've honed in on the resorts sites we like, but I'm not sure if I want everything in one spot - ceremony and reception and hotel. So, now I am looking at Hacienda San Angel for ceremony and reception but having us and guests stay and Villa Premiere or Casa Velas. Also, I've been getting mixed information about how many days we need to be in PV prior to the wedding for a legal wedding and if I need to visit the resort prior to the wedding? Okay, so maybe I'm a bit overwhelmed. But hopefully we'll get it figured out.

Any suggestions or advice would be helpful.

First off welcome to the forum. PV is a wonderful location for a DW. I guess I'm a bit bias as I was a PV bride back in October 07. I used a travel agent and found she beat everyones prices and being a DW bride herself she really knew what to look out for. I'd suggest PMing Tammyhost - she's great. good luck. if you need any info on Riu Jalisco or opinions on Beunaventura I'd love to share.
