I was thinking the same thing. Our color is navy blue, so I was going get some navy blue sand, but also use the beach sand.

Does anyone have a link to this thread? I tried searching, but had no luck...

FYI - I got the frame in and I love the way it looks. We are going to have to figure out a cute but clever way to get the sand in because the opening between sheets of glass is only about a quarter of an inch.

Also, where is a good place to get the colored sand?

I just had a thought here...and i may totally maybe behind everyone else..lol...but the frame on the first page and the first post...was that just a shadow box frame and then another frame just glued or somehow attached to the shadow box frame? that i guess could make sense right? maybe easier to make something like that? if you could find a frame and say glue it to the glass and then just pour the sand into the shadow box frame...is this right? has anyone else ever made one?

                    Cherielee,
I replied to your post on this same topic yesterday. I went to Kohl's last nite and found the Umbra frame. I think it would work great. I bought an extra one if you want me to ship it to you in Canda. It was $15 for the frame and I have no clue what shipping will be. If you want me to go to the post office tonite to get a quote, pm me your address. If you want to do something else, no worries. I can always return the extra one.

Just ordered mine from Kohls. It was on sale for 14.99 but I also used the code Fall30 and got 30% off. A little over $18.00 with shipping. Thanks for the tips everyone!!!
