FYI - I got the frame in and I love the way it looks. We are going to have to figure out a cute but clever way to get the sand in because the opening between sheets of glass is only about a quarter of an inch.

Also, where is a good place to get the colored sand?

I just had a thought here...and i may totally maybe behind everyone else..lol...but the frame on the first page and the first post...was that just a shadow box frame and then another frame just glued or somehow attached to the shadow box frame? that i guess could make sense right? maybe easier to make something like that? if you could find a frame and say glue it to the glass and then just pour the sand into the shadow box frame...is this right? has anyone else ever made one?

Cherielee,
I replied to your post on this same topic yesterday. I went to Kohl's last nite and found the Umbra frame. I think it would work great. I bought an extra one if you want me to ship it to you in Canda. It was $15 for the frame and I have no clue what shipping will be. If you want me to go to the post office tonite to get a quote, pm me your address. If you want to do something else, no worries. I can always return the extra one.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
