Ok, now I'm feeling a little slighted. I'm getting married April 2009 and Claudia quoted me 2800 for 5 hours! I booked her but now wonder if I should say something..Any recommendations on how to handle this?

I just spoke to Claudia's assistant, who told me that if they price-up the packages for weddings at any Karisma properties. So the price list that quotes $2200 for 5 hours is for non-Karisma. They have to pay a commission to work at the property so its passed over to us... Guess no matter what way you slice it, Karisma gets their $500 outside vendor fee!

I think I'm going to book with Claudia anyway, all of her staff's work looks amazing. Claudia isn't available for my date, but I hope that Citlalli is...

I booked Claudia for my June 25, 2009 wedding. I chose the 5 hour package at $2250. I am getting married at the Iberostar Paraiso Del Mar which charges a $300 fee for using an outside vendor. I have requested a contract from Claudia but have not heard back (I already paid the deposit). Does anyone know how she normally works? Is an email confirmation enough or should I press for a contract?

I think you cant feel ripped off

EVERYTHING goes up yearly

the resorts costs, etc.

it is sort of par for the course that the photographers costs will go up also.

I know it feels like a lot, but when I started planning EDR's walkway was $50

now I am paying $250 ..... for a piece of wood.

Sucks

but you kinda have to expect it.

If it is something important to you, you just have to pay for it.

IMO Claudias prices, even at the new raised price are still VERY reasonable compared to other photos such as Del Sol etc.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
