Does anyone else have a SO addicted to WOW?

girl_werewolf.gif I think I might kill my new DH if he doesn't get off the F***ING computer soon!

He hasn't been motivated to do a damn thing since we've been back from Jamaica! His whole family is from out of town, and the first ones will be arriving on Wed.

AHHHHHHHH! I am so pissed I am seriously considering taking a baseball bat to the whole system! He gets in this stupid trance and just kinda grunts at whatever I say. I told him I was going to get an annulment if he didn't get off his ass and the response was "Ok I love you"

My DH is a computer freak... he doesn't play WOW that much but other things... although since we've had a child he doesn't play. He works, comes home plays w/ our daughter and then smokes a cigar.

But before.... I was w/ you... he usually didn't even hear me while playing.

I completely understand the WOW addiction!!! The only thing I have going for me is that all I have is a laptop...so it's the worst when he's home helping his parents on the farm because they do have a good computer (he set it up of course). Trying to talk to him over the phone when he's there..."yeah," "m'hm," "okay"...you get it. Drives me crazy!! I completely feel for you!

Mine doesn't play WOW but my friend's boyfriend does and she complains about it endlessly!

Mike stopped playing WOW. The game is too much of a time suck. He switched to another game that allows you to pause. a big problem with warcraft is how you have to get a team together so once that is organized you don't want to stop. so once he was playing he was really stuck. now he plays this game with his dad so it's cool that they are "hanging out." We live in a different state so they can't go do something real together & they aren't much for talking on the phone. So they talk over their headsets as the kill people.

This is my Mike's excuse. He plays with his brother, who lives in a different state so I feel bad about bitching, since he doesn't get to spend a lot of time with him. I totally think he is playing on my guilt factor.

It wouldn't be as bad if he would do other stuff. I know he needs to relax when he gets home from work and crap, but still it makes me crazy! I just don't understand. He will not go out with friends so he can stay home and play online!

Then, if I'm on BDW he gets all huffy. "You're on your computer, so why can't I be on mine?" We share the office, so I just get tired of listening to them talk on the headset.

Thankfully I don't have this problem AT ALL! Tim plays the WII and that's really it and some online Black Jack but not that often.

But I do know someone who has a really BAD addiction to the point where he lost his job because of it (staying up late and coming in late) and while he was unemployed he became even more addicted and lost most of his friends because he LIVED on the computer!!!! Actually "Intervention" on A&E did an show on a "Gaming Addict" believe it or not there really is a rehab that specializes in "Gaming Addictions". It's so sad!!! It sucks the life from these people... I've heard of divorces due to this game!!!!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
