What was your most favorite bridal gift?

Recommended Posts

I was going to say the ring holder (just bought a few this weekend actually, for gifts). But the ones I bought were little boxes from 10000 Villages. I have one for myself in the bathroom and I like it, so bought it for 2 girls as gifts.

I like the idea of stationary though. Personalized, nice stationary is cool. I never had anything like it, but would like to get myself some!

And I know I had an idea, but I forgot it while typing up the responses! Dang it. I will post back when/if I remember.

I remembered, I remembered! My favorite gift that I got was from My friend Roe and it was a manicure set. I actually posted on here a few weeks ago looking for something similar and couldn't find it anywhere. I looked in every store and almost every website! Anyway, it was a mani/pedi set that had all the tools, lotions and whatnot and about 4 different polishes, as well as base and top coat; cuticle cream. Literally everything you could need. And she wrote a nice little thing in a card about how since I will be showing my hands off, gotta make them pretty! I use it all the time. It came in a handy little clear carrying case (looks like a mini suitcase) and it is so convenient.

Something else that i have bought for a few people's engagements are the Christmas ornaments that are clay people with their names and date of engagement on them. The one I bought just a few weeks ago said thier names, "He asked, she said yes!" and the date. Very cute!

Ab, I couldn't find them on the website either! That is why I had to go to the store and they had them. I just checked my receipt and tried looking it up by item # or the description, but they don't come up. Perhaps they don't list the items when they aren't that expensive? Anyway, I can take a pic of mine, or you just might see pics posted sometime soon!

Ok so far I got this pink wagon:

It is supercute but I can't decide whether or not to spray paint it...I just found out her favorite color is a light blue. What do you guys think?

I also got these books to throw in the wagon.

Then I got her personalized stationary:

I am going to get these flip flops that I was given for my wedding. I can't seem to find them online but my friend said they sell them at Hallmark. They are white flipflops and at the thong of the flip flop is a fake diamond. They are so cute.

I tried looking for cute ring holders but I couldn't find any I liked.

I am also getting her a bag of monogramed M&M candies. I will do some with their pic and some that say "Meant to be". I will get them in light blue. What's really cute about this is that her new initial from her married name is "M" so its fitting that the M&M's have "M"s on them. I think she will like this.

I still need more to fill the wagon though. Carly you gave me great ideas about the nail polish. I think I am going to buy her Essie one's that have to do with love or wife. Like the color "love of my wife" and "starter Wife", "life after sex", etc. Thanks for the nail idea Carly!

Jen can you post the digital frame you got? That sounds really cute!

i'd leave the wagon pink, and use some blue tulle, or blue ribbons.

my mil bought me a heart shaped lenox ring holder. it's not my taste, but it's cute and heart shaped. mine is crystal, but i wish i had this one: Amazon.com: Lenox Wedding Promises Silver Plate 2-Piece Ring Holder and Heart Box: Kitchen & Dining

i have a digital frame too. it holds 3,000 pics. Buy the Smartparts 12.1" Digital Picture Frame and other Digital frames at circuitcity.com i don't think the giver paid that much for it tho, so search around. it comes in different colors too.

my favorite things, as cheesy as they are, were a fisherman's hat that says bride in rhinestones, a matching t-shirt, and flip flops that say i 'heart' him. he got matching ones - all would be perfect for the honeymoon!

i'll keep thinking.

oh i also got some cute things like this: Amazon.com: Sponge Glove- Pink & Black with White Dots: Kitchen & Dining

do they live together? do they have a house?

OK, this is going to be the best gift ever! I want one of these wagons filled with all your goodies :) I LOVE the stationary...where do you get that?!

I agree with Lauren, I would leave the wagon pink. It's way too cute not to. Use blue for other things like ribbon etc.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
