HELP! Problem with wedding band!!

Recommended Posts

I have no clue why my wedding band is doing this, but I keep getting these little bumps under the band that are crazy itchy and then they get little white bumps on top of the bump and then they burst (sorry so gross!!) they are super tiny and they go away when Im not wearing it.

Anyone have an idea why this may be happening??

I know its real gold (I picked it out) and its white gold. I have worn my white gold E ring for over 3 years on this finger and never had an issue and I wear another white gold ring on my other hand and never had a problem. I dont want to stop wearing it but its just driving me nuts!!! HELP!!!!!

I wonder if your band is rhodium plated. Some white gold is, and some white gold isn't.

It sounds an awful lot like a nickle allergy which is what is in white gold that makes it white. And if your ring isn't plated (and your others are), it may be that you've got an allergy.

Worst case... upgrade to platinum. Best case, talk to a jewler about having it (or the inside anyway) plated in rhodium to keep the nickle away from your skin.

That would make a lot of sense. I have a horrible alergic reaction to certain metals (like the buttons on jeans or buckels on belts) I dont know why I never thought of that. Grr, now Im gonna have to spend more money to fix this.lol Thanks ladies I dont know why I never thought about an allergy!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
