This is an interesting post because I was just in the liquor store on Tuesday buying wine (santa margherita pinot grigio) my standard and I'm totally bored with it. So I picked up a Chenin Blanc. I loved it, so light and crisp. I think I found my new fav wine.

But this post is great for suggestions. The wine dept at the store can be very intimidating if you have zero knowledge about wine.

If you are bored w/ S Margherita, try San Angelo Pinot Grigio ($12.49 in our local stores). It's an unbelieveable quality wine for a great price.

I love wine! How is your new wine job going by the way??

Anyways my fave wine is White Merlot. I can't find it everywhere though - but it is so awesome (I like the sweet ones though) It's not dry at all - I don't like dry either! AND when FI and I first met he bought me a bottle for my birthday - along w/ a new corkscrew and some wine glasses - so now we call it "our" wine! LOL!

red gives me headaches, so i only drink white in bulk wink.gif

like jaime, i like anything australian or new zealand. my favorite cheap wine is monkey bay sauvignon blanc - i think the chardonnay is icky tho. we rarely buy a bottle that's more than $14.99, so keep those cheap choices coming!

So I was just in the bathroom cleaning off labels of our wine that we bought so we could bottle our new wine we just made tonight. So I wrote down the few we liked.

Rojo Granrojo Tempranilo 2005 (I have no idea what that means) it was 10 bucks

Recanati Merlot (Not sure on price)

Premius Bordeaux Merlot Cabernet 2005 and it was under 10 dollars

Trinchero Family Merlot 2005 (Not sure on price)

Barefoot Chardonnay was under 10 dollars but we used it to cook some fish and it was YUMMY!

and we liked the Korbel Champagne!

I'll look for that! My fave inexpensive Pinot Grigio used to be Ecco Domani but I'm tired of that too...I'll check for the San Angelo, thanks Tami!

And if you have any Barolo recommendations I'll take them :P

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
