        Wow,
thank you all so much for the nice welcome!!
I would love to hear all about the other RIU weddings that are happening this year! So far I've just had contact once with someone at RIU and they suggested I recontact them at the end of March to reserve. How long in advance is usual to book a destination wedding? I am going during busy season I know, so I expect to book quite a while in advance.

I booked a year in advance. My adice is to call them, things move much faster that way. You have to go online and make your reservation and then you get a confirmation #.This can sometimes take forever. If you are thinking of using an outside photographer (I am using Juan Carlos) book them as soon as you have your date. They usually book fast. The most imporant thing is to book your date and location at the resort and photographer, the rest you can take your time with!

Welcome to the forum Liz! While I have never stayed at a RIU resort I hear nothing but good things about it. Let us know how we can help you and good luck with the planning!
