Menstrual cramps- best solution IYO?

Recommended Posts

Oh Jac I have a terrible case of them too. A few months ago I had to have DH drive me home (we carpool to work every day- it's about 40 mins one way) and I think he was kinda peeved. I NEVER EVER had to stay home from school or work before but it just got so bad that I literally had to lay in a ball on my chair and hope no one walked by my desk.

My sister has a prescription for cramps and I sometimes steal a pill or two off her. However, one time I took some REALLY old pills and it made me have an allergic reaction so I'm kinda gun shy of them.

I have no advice though. I just begrudgingly handle the pain and don't do anything to help myself. I'm stupid like that. :)

Ya guys don't get it. So the best thing we can hope for is for them to have appendicitis. The pain is VERY closely to horrible cramps. I didn't go to the doctor for 2 days because I thought it was just really really bad cramps. No- it was just my appendix bursting.

Just for clarification, the prescription dose of Aleve is 2 twice a day (every 12 hours) for a total of 4 a day.

No, Jac, please don't take asprin! Asprin is used for heart stuff because it increases bleeding and decreases clotting. And no one wants to increase bleeding during their period! Stick with Aleve/naproxen.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
